Trippin’ Café — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

I was wandering about and stumbled upon this place and since I was starving I gave it a try. Ambiance was chill, artsy and inviting and there were lots of travellers working, hanging out w their luggage and speaking in English. Staff was friendly and spoke English :) Took a while to get anything but I think that’s an Argentina thing in general- you’re just going to have to slow down your expectations :) My veggie/avocado sandwich was pre-made and fine - not amazing, not the worst. Totally fine. The potatoes it came with however made me depressed. Again, could be an Argentina thing as I’ve had very upsetting French fry/wedge experiences so far :( The coffee/Americano was ultra strong and made my eyelids lift to the heavens for the rest of the day. Whole thing cost me about $10 Canadian. They have wifi and you can pay w a credit card and they serve large portions of wine and they have a cute patio AND awesome tunes so ‘es obvio’ I’ll be back for happy hour...

Was looking for a cafe to work from during the day in the area and found them on google. The photos and vibe looked great so thought I'd give it a shot. As soon as me and my gf walked in, we joined two tables to work on and and the old man began talking about how our order was "too small" for us to warrant using two tables... keep in mind we had just arrived and would have kept ordering throughout the time that we were there.... He came to drop the order at the table and as we were sitting, separated the tables.... as we were sitting there.... They then spent the rest of the time walking around just looking at us.... Very rude and unwelcoming behavior for a cafe. One would have thought this was a mafia joint for a bunch of old men or something.... Definitely don't go here if you're looking for a welcoming place to sit and work at. I will not recommend this place to...

Coffee is just okay, but the staff was super unfriendly, I went with a friend so we could work together and ordered coffee, tables are too small so we used two, but then the guy that served us just pulled the other table from us, didn’t even say a thing. The place was empty so I feel like there was no need to do that, not like there’s a ton of people waiting for the table, so just because of that I wouldn’t go again. Such a shame cause the place...
