Another successful visit to the best Dandy branch of all. We had a well served dinner and appetizers. Everything was fresh and flavorful. As always the service was the best. If there was ever a place to “hang out” and truly get the vibe of Buenos Aires, Dandy is it! On Night One of our stay, hubby was on biz so as a vegan, I decided to find a place to forage for maybe bread or something simple like a salad… I found THE MOST INCREDIBLE VEGAN MEAL EV-Ahhhh! Fredirico, my server, was beyond incredible! He brought me me a meal called Vegan Sorrentinos! It BLEW my mind! The meal was filling, inexpensive, and wonderful! It was so good I promised to come Day Two. On Day 2, sadly I cheated on Federico… bad mistake for this vegan…. I brought hubby to taste a meal. He ordered the lasagna bolognese and was delighted! He said it was a mind-blowing meal. Our server was Jose, and was a really sweet and funny guy. He suggested that I order the vegan sandwich and it was horrible! Terrible! We told him so and he still charged us. (In fairness, they were out of the Sorrentino Vegan pasta that took my world off its axis!) Day3, with all the restaurants in Buenos Aires, I’m back by myself. I visit Buenos Aires every year since 2001 and it happened that this cafe ( or the one that was in it place) was the first we visited. Then we went there every time in Buenos Aires. I visited it on July 19,2018 and was very disappointed. When I asked for National Brandy which was on Menu I was told that they do not have it. I asked Johnny Walker black with price of 195 pesos and I was told that they do not have it and the only Johnny Walker whisky they have is Blue for 695 pesos! I ordered Chaves Regal but the shot was half of usual US portion. Same with coffee - I ordered Cafe con Crema - and portion was extremely small. Very...
