Usina Cafetera Recoleta — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

This was one very strange experience. We arrived there on a rainy Monday, only to discover that the entrance door was ribboned off. The place was quite empty, only 3 other tables were occupied by clients. Nonetheless, we had to wait until someone from the staff came to let us in (while getting puzzled looks from the other clients inside). This weird custom continued with other clients as well, although the place continued not to be busy. Upon leaving most clients would deliberately untie the ribbon in a chevaleresque gesture towards incoming clients. Nice place to enjoy regular Argentinean dishes. Warm waiters welcome you, they take your order pretty fast and you may have to chase them for the bill (as it happens in Buenos Aires). Their tables are small, so this is recommended for a party of four or less. They have a nice patio, which provides you a nice rest in a busy city. Their WiFi was particularly on and off when I was there, so I would not recommend working there. Prices are reasonable. They offer many dishes and most of them are pretty healthy. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for healthy food in a quiet atmosphere, in the Barrio Norte...

Me habían hablado mucho de esta cafetería. Fui con mucha expectativa y como tal, se desinfló todo en segundos. Nos sentamos afuera y tardaron un montón en llegar a atendernos, a pesar de que había suficiente personal, creo que estaban más preocupados por el teléfono u otras cosas, cómo bien dijo el chico que nos atendió primero "perdonen por no haberlos atendido, realmente tendrían que ser mis compañeros pero parece que están ocupados" Empezamos raro. Luego una chica nos toma la orden: flat white, capu italiano, scon y budín de banana. Decepción: flat bueno, capu equivocado no era italiano, scon que no era del día y budín de banana sin banana, con esencia de banana para perfumar un país. Solucionaron el capu y bien pero lo demás no tenía arreglo. Tuve que pararme a pagar porque nadie venía, cuando entramos, en el baño no había papel para manos... No cubrió para nada mis expectativas... Decepción!

Pd. Había muchos mosquitos y no era porque precisamente haya mosquitos en la ciudad (que los hay) sino porque su terraza está encima de agua estancada. Creo que no se han enterado que hay dengue y que "agua estancada, claro que no..." (Adjunto foto)
