Williamsburg Infanta — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Oh, Williamsburg. I had high hopes for this place as it was recommended to me by my brother, but it was a big disappointment. The place is clean and well located, we ordered and then I realized I was paying $1060 pesos for two burgers and two beers (March 7th, 2019, today $24,5 USD), which is pretty damn expensive if you ask me, having in mind some other great places we usually eat at. Anyways, we realized we were actually paying extra for fries. Ok, it was not clearly advertised but no biggie, we've paid more to eat at good places, maybe this was a good place? Nope. After ordering we had to wait for longer as the drink-lady was talking to a co-worker. No biggie. We waited. And waited. Then we had to ask the cashier if she could tell her we were waiting. Finally, we get our drinks! All good, all ok. Food came pretty fast and let me tell you: the portions of fries we got were NOT worth $100 pesos. Not even a little bit. They were cold and TBH kinda old. I got up to get us some mayo and ketchup and I found a container badly washed, still with old mayo in it. Grossssss. The food is perfect! I can eat it on a daily basis.

My problem is the music though. It’s loud. There’s no way to escape it. The interior and both terraces have the loudspeakers.

I even like the music; the selection is tasteful. I just want the freedom to choose silence.

I tried every corner. I’ve tried the earplugs. Neither solved the problem.

Managers, I don’t know if it’s your concept, but how about one loud terrace, one silent terrace, and the lower volume inside?

Williamsburg is one of those places you go to when you’re desperate. There are far better burgers in this city—you and I certainly make a better burger. Williamsburg tries to be hip and cool, and it is as it is strategically placed in the best BA neighborhoods.
