"La Waffleria" is located in the north part of the city, somewhat close to the Los Tres trail entrance, and it is a great place for a simple, but good quick meal or to kill your sweet tooth. The menu has several options of waffles, and lots of types of teas to drink. The prices are really nice and so are the ingredients used. It was the place that we always did go when we just got back from a trail, to refill our energy (especially when it was too early for dinner). The service is very friendly, and guests at Rivendel gets 10% discount.

On the menu, they have lots and lots of choices between salty and sweet of waffles, and they also offer options of soups, omelets, salads, small pizzas and sandwiches. To drink, options like coffee, tea, hot chocolate beside other choices, including beers. We had opportunity to try several things on the various visits we did go there.

Among the salty waffles we tried, we ordered the Waffle Napolitano (ham, cheese, garlic and tomato), the Waffle with cheese and ham, and the Waffle Baeza (iron grilled beef, blue cheese cream and champignon mushrooms - very good indeed). We also ordered some sweet ones, like the Waffle 2004 (flambéed green apples with rum and cinnamon ice cream), Waffle Explosíón (chocolate sauce and chocolate ice cream) and Waffle Fiesta de Calafate (cream with Calafate ice cream and Calafate preserve), all of them very good.

We also tried also the tuna and cheese sandwich and a Grand Hamburguesa (burger with tomato, lettuce, ham, cheese, bacon and fried egg, that comes with a little side of shoestring potatoes). The first one is a bit dry, but you always get in the table mayo, mustard, ketchup and some varieties of pepper sauce to add if you like. The burger is very good, being big in size, tasty and moist. The potatoes are the usual ones from snacks.

Without exception, all waffles were very good , both in taste and size (to be honest me and my wife shared most of them) - yes, it is a simple recipe, but with good choices of toppings, tasty ingredients and it is a perfect comfort food. Add to that the really good prices, friendly service and you have a great option for a quick bite or an indulge before or after a trail, along with a...

Really confused by all the amazing reviews for this place. I was convinced by someone who said it's the best waffle of their life, which leads me to believe it was the first waffle of their life?? I'll start with the positives, the service and staff were great and it has a cosy vibe with lots of seating. Unfortunately the waffle was below average - it was very thin and almost cardboard like, perhaps pre made and reheated, I'm not sure. It was totally edible but would not have paid a repeat visit. The coffee looked good but the taste was flavourless and watery. These are fairly basic things to do well, so hopefully they change the recipe or process and it will be great, or maybe they were having an off day...

I was excited to eat here after reading the rave reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was poor. The waffles were poorly made and soggy! The service quite poor. The beer tasteless.

We ordered the ojitos waffle (fried egg on top) and the eggs were completely burnt. We had the intention of ordering a dessert waffle but after our main course experience, we left.

Oh, it's also overpriced and has no WiFi.

The reason for 2 stars is that the people working here are very nice, but that's not reason enough to recommend this...

Had brunch here on a rainy morning and it lifted our spirits greatly. Service was impeccable and our two waffles were just what we needed. We got a combination of sweet and savory: one napolitano and one fiesta del bosque. The berries tasted fresh and the ice cream was just the right amount of sweet. We also got an espresso beverage which was good and strong. Very cute cafe overall with convenient hooks on the wall for hanging bags/wet rain jackets.
