We had super mixed feelings after our dinner here… every side dish/ or dish other than meat was not good/we barely wanted to eat it. We ordered a side dish of mashed pumpkin seasoned with honey/and herbs (honestly just gross) and we ordered pasta with cream (it was as if someone boiled some spaghetti noodles, and got a can of Alfredo sauce…and then added 50% water to the sauce and then served that over the noodles) the sauce had zero taste and the dish was served Luke warm. It was so bad we had to send it back which I never do. We got the ravioli with red sauce stuffed with olives and cheese.(the red sausage was just as watered down!! It was so weird) We just ate it at that point cause we hate to waste, but honestly would not have bought a single side dish at that restaurant. That being said…. The meat was the BEST MEAT we’ve had in Argentina so far!!!! The flavor….the side sauces….the way it was cooked….we ordered the Lomo medium rare, and it was amazing. I wish we had just stuck to the meat only.

That’s why we were so torn about this place. Definitely go for the meat only!!! Don’t get sucked into the pastas-or the sides…please...

Unless you like your dinner ruined with overcooked or undercooked meat - don’t dine here!

I was super excited to have my first steak in Argentina here! I stopped by earlier in the day to check the menu and also get recommendations (was told the steaks were great but to skip the lamb). Great I thought - I wanted steak!

Start the dinner off with a bread basket with a spread that was sosososo delicious - if this is how things started the meal was sure to be good (so I thought)

For starter order the sausage and fried egg. The egg was served overcooked, and while that should have been my first sign, but I thought maybe that’s just how they serve fried eggs here (as opposed to a runny yolk). This was actually very good, and I would get it again.

Then on to the main course - looks can be deceiving. Looked good. Ordered medium rare. First served well done then rare. By the time I finally got a steak that was cooked the way I ordered I was full and asked for it to go. Ruined the whole experience as we all know steak isn’t as good the next day.

Real let down at the end of the day. Left the meal so frustrated. Would not...

We ate here three nights in a row—everything about this restaurant was amazing! It’s always incredibly busy (they don’t take reservations so you line up and put down their name) but inside the ambience is lovely and cozy and the service warm and fast. And the food! We tried the lamb, skirt steak, baked vegetables, sweet potato, potato salad, and lettuce salad and all were wonderful (especially the steak and vegetables!). Servings are very generous: we would get a single portion of meat to share and it was plentiful. The meat is delicious as is but also comes with great chimichurri and vinaigrette as sides which we put on everything. And as a bonus, every night we were there a local band (La Siempre Alegre) played a few songs and their music was so beautiful. On our last night, we also enjoyed a tiramisu (definitely have dessert, worth it even if you’re full!) and saw the light fade over the mountains. Amazing value for the price, and definitely a highlight of our time in El Chaltén! Thank you to the kind...

We arrived early and we're seating with no one at adjoining tables. When the food arrived, so did about a dozen flies. Mentioned it to our waiter and he covered our steaks with a napkin to keep them off. They were still buzzing around. Definitely detracted from the ambiance...don't.expect flies at a high quality restaurant. Once we had eaten most of our meal, and the restaurant filled, the flies disappeared, likely to visit other patrons. We had beef tenderloin for two. The sizes and cooks varied on the 4 pieces. We ordered medium rare, but a thick piece was rare. The tenderloin was a little on the tough side, not almost melt in your tender. The service was friendly. The casual ambiance was a plus. As an example, the wine list was a visit to their wine cabinet with prices displayed and pick your own bottle.
