La Barra vinos & carnes — Restaurant in Mendoza

Went here 2x while in Mendoza. This place is a true asado - not a place that does asado plus a bunch of other things like some other "asados" in town. And they do it so well. Great food! I recommend the tables on the patio out back with a view of the parilla / grill.

Had the bife de chorizo which was so delicious. Be aware - it's big. I split it with my wife. Jessica was an excellent waitress, and Susana (the owner) was on the grill. On the first night, the meat wasn't quite cooked to our liking and Susana corrected it immediately. Top notch all...

Excellent steaks, wines, very attentive service that nevertheless projected a laid-back atmosphere. We had bife de chorizo that was perfectly prepared (one was plenty for two people).

When I walked to the back to look at the grilling area, the chef was preparing fresh chunchules (intestines). They aren't on the menu, but you should ask if they're available. I'd have to say they were even better than the steaks, crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Absolutely...

Delicious Asado, best Bife de Chorizo we had of recommended restaurants in the area! Tasty meat cooked perfectly. Grilled vegetables had more flavor than other places. The ambience is LOVELY.
