It was suggested to us that this was the place to eat in Bariloche by our hotel concierge. Unfortunately, it fell flat on its face. We walked in shortly after its opening. The restaurant had a few tables full and we were asked to seat ourselves where we wanted. About 5 min after we sat ourselves, another couple was seated next to us. Immediately the waiter came and took their drink and food order. We Sat there looking stupid. I looked over to the older lady that told us to seat ourselves with the ‘WTH’ look. A couple minutes later our waiter came and took our order. Our Spanish is less than perfect, but it was quite obvious while he was taking our order he was not extending any effort to help explain things. Shortly after that, the older lady came over to our table and asked me to put my purse in my lap. It was hanging off my chair. I looked around and sure enough, other women were holding their purses in their lap while cutting steak. SMH. We ordered 2 empanadas, a salad to split and the pork roast and lamb. The food that was served was good, not the best I have ever had, but not the worst. . Unfortunately, my salad arrived literally after my last bite of food and by now i was pretty annoyed so I told him I didn’t want it. He understood that. Everything started wonderfully. Nice homemade bread, they made an extra effort and found a different "pate" because my daughter would not eat "Bambi meat" (smoked cubed cheese, very nice). But in the main dish, the trout was cold. The waiter offered to heat it (not an option, would had dried the side dish) or make it again (but because we were sharing, I would had need to remove what my 7 years old daughter was eating. Not an option removing the food from kid). Still, having the impression the fish had come straight from a refrigerator I decided to just eat the side dish and take the trout home. The server, noticing that, insisted on heating it and make my portion right, adding some sauce and pretzels, so finally I accepted. Came back nice and warm and was able to enjoy it. But I consider is not acceptable that a 20u$ fish plate doesn't come straight from the kitchen PERFECT. (In Argentina that's an expensive plate). To add injury, they didn't had the star dessert ( the main reason we went there), raspberries with cream. Out of season, was the explanation. Sorry Weiss' family, there are several ways to keep raspberries all year long. Rapa Nui has no problem offering franuis the 12 months at dozens of locations. Neither has Mamushka problems offering it in cakes. Need to make a better effort or take that out of the menu during winter. A 5 cuadras de la Plaza Madre de Ciudades que alberga en Centro Civico de Bariloche.
Y a 5 cuadras de la sede Turistica Institucional de la Municipalidad de San Carlos de Bariloche
ESTACIONAMIENTO: No Posee estacionamiento propio. Sí hay estacionamiento aledaño. Estacionar sobre cordones pintados en Blanco
HORARIO: Abierto al mediodia desde las 12hs y a la.noche a partir de las 20hs.
RESERVAS: Atiende reservas telefónicas,.pero generalmente se hace fila afuera para ingresar. Es un lugar muy concurrido por turistas extranjeros, argentinos y locales.
ATENCION: Es una empresa Familiar Fundada por Ernesto Weiss quien tiene un busto en su honor en el interior en olanra baja del lado de calle O " Connor y generalmente atiende su Sra. Esposa o su hijo. En la puerta hay un personal anfitrión que administra las mesas y direcciona los visitantes. La atención es Excelente, Cordial, Respetuosa, y Personalizada.
Hay mucho personal, con vestuarios impecables, tanto de varones como de mujeres.
El personal está correctamente vestido, y son muy atentos. Debo destavar la atencion personalizada que tuvimos esa noche de Patricio Nazar un caballero atento y cordial.
El personal en general y el de limpieza posee delantales, y el personal de atención al público con pantalón de vestir, camisa y corbata.
Personal de cocina con chaqueta y pantalón, guantes, barbijo, sombrerete en la cabeza. INFRAESTRUCTURA: Esta inplantado en un terreno aproximado de 20 mertos sobre calle O' Connor y 25 mts. sobre calle Palacios.
Es un Local situado en esquina. Tiene construído en Planta baja y un primer piso. Su arquitectura lo hace muy especial dado que está construída en Piedra de la zona y Troncos con estilo rustico.
PLANTA BAJA: Sus troncos redondos pelados que conservan su forma natural sostienen y adornar el entrepiso. Las barra es de piedra y posee entablonados de madera arriba de la piedra. El piso es de adoquin con juntas cerradas barnizados. Posee una barra Todo el local que da a la calle tiene todo practicamemte vidriado a la vuelta desde donde se puede observar el exterior y visceversa. Sus lamparas en hierro forjado y con pantallas de cuero color manteca. Luz calida.
Posee una escalera en forma de L en madera, con barandas metalicas y un pasamano de madera con escalones anchos 1,2mts y fuertes
PLANTA ALTA: Posee un amolio acceso, y hall de recepcion, todo en madera. Hacia la derecha una barra de atencion.
A la vuelta del hall, recorriendo el perimetro exterior del edificio se encuentran todas las mesas y sillas. Sus techos es la ambientacion perfecta de su estilo. Todo con Cabreadas de troncos entrelazados entre si concartelas metalicas en sus uniones pintadas en negro. Las cabreadas sostenienla cubierta. El diseño es exquisitamente muy bien logrado. Digno de admirar. El arquitecto fue el Lopez Davalos que tiene una placa inscripta en el acceso.
No posee ascensores.
MOBILIARIO: Todas con mesas y sillas en madera rustica.
Todo con muy buen gusto y armonía.
Baños : Muy bien equipados con pisos en ceramica color Manteca. Griferia fv, espejos amplios. Equipados con secadores de mano electricos. Todo muy limpio y aseado. Con Jabon.
SERVICIO : Wifi. Servicio de individuales y cubiertos de acero inoxidable. La Carta posee diferentes platos tradicionale gourmet, pero tambien exclusivos como Ciervo a la Cazadora que viene con Salsa de hongos y Pimientos muy exquisita.
PRECIOS: Moderados y accesibles vale la pena.
