I will definitely be avoiding this place. I've rung several times for a phone order of coffees (sounds pretty simple right) they take forever to answer the phone. Not one but 4 times, as I always give people a couple of chances, they managed to stuff up my coffee orders. Today, I placed a phone order of 2 coffees, small and a large. I rang at 840am, I got there at approx 850am with 10mins to spare to be at work at 9. Went to the counter to pay for my coffees, to which weren't even made let alone put through the system. They had one large table of approx 8 people and 4 other people waiting for take away coffees. There was 3 people in the kitchen, 2 people on the machine and 3 floor/wait staff. Meanwhile it's 857am and im Still waiting for my coffees while they all have chats, to hear them say has that phone order come in yet.I've been waiting here 10 mins in addition to the 10 mins prior of placing my phone order. I receive my very underwhelming Luke warm coffees which were both wrong. Then I get handed them without a tray to then ask for one. The staff are un friendly, not welcoming and this place has gone down hill a lot, the food is very expensive and not worth the price, they can't even poach an egg correctly. The staff have no personality, there's plenty more amazing coffee/brunch spots in the western suburbs. I definitely...
Read moreThis was the go to coffee place for quite a few of us until 28th October 2023 and from memory the booking was 9 or 9.30am
We took friends for breakfast and every poached egg was so overcooked they were inedible. We told the waitress who said sorry and walked off. She came back and asked how the meals were and I, politely, told her they were well below acceptable and she needed to do something about it. She said she would tell the cooks but didn’t return When a different team member came to clear the plates and saw most of the meals uneaten she asked what the issue was. We told her and she apologised profusely and said we should have said something earlier. When we told her we did she offered a round of coffees. I told her we had 2 rounds but hadn’t settled the account. She said she would action Guess what? We are $170 lighter for the 4 of us (no action taken) and it’s left such a sour taste we have moved to a nearby competitor. Our regular catch ups and meetings have now moved as well Tried to give the feedback to the owners or manager but they were too busy to talk Shame to see a place we did enjoy as the go change to the “never to return” business after...
Read moreEdit: My last 2 experiences here were underwhelming and expensive so I have changed my review. The first time I had the French toast and it was really good. The last 2 times I tried other parts of the menu and wasn't that impressed. Firstly that is the most expensive coffee I have bought in Adelaide. It was good, but not worth the price of $6 for a mug. I got the same size at La Moka on Peel St for $4.80. Secondly, I recently got the pancakes with maple syrup and icecream and another time, two poached eggs with mushrooms and spinach. Both lacked flavour. Yes, when tasting the pancake plain it was basic. The mushrooms and spinach were the same. I had to run around to find the salt and pepper because goodness me it needed it! Service was good, hence I am giving it 3 stars, but I won't be rushing to go back just for that. If I go out for breakfast I like having the option of ordering something that I can't easily whip up at home. 94 West doesn't offer many breakfast options like that. Variety would be great. It's good, but nothing more.
First time here and that was great. Seriously great food, coffee, service and location....
