Came due to a recommendation from my mum, she’d raved how this joint had one of the best burgers in Adelaide. I was so excited but was disappointed from the get go. As we walked in, the lady working at the counter didn’t greet us, she barely looked at us. We had to go to her to ask if we should order at the counter or they would come to us. She said “Here” and didn’t even point to the menus. We at least had plenty of seats to choose from as the restaurant was empty (at 6:30pm). We wanted to get the Family deal combo for 2. In the menu it specifies only 2 burgers that aren’t included in the combo. My partner chose the Double BBQ Michigan and I got the NY burger, when ordering he was told that the Double BBQ Michigan burger wasn’t included in the combo. So why not actually change the menu so it’s correct then. The lady at the counter was also very cold, looked and acted like she didn’t want to be there. She also disappeared to the back so we couldn’t buy more drinks until she came back. It wouldn’t have been as awkward if there was at least some music playing. Felt like our conversation echoed through the place. The food took over 30 minutes to come out despite the fact there was no one else in the restaurant. To be honest, the NYburger was average. It need more sauce, and salt- so did the chips. We got some chicken tenders, they were okay. Not worth the $6 for 2, needed salt and the batter was...
Read moreIts a decent feed. The service was good and the staff genuinely want you to enjoy the experience.
The fries were crunchy on the outside (though maybe a little chewy too?) and soft on the inside with what I assume was a tex/mex seasoning. Delicious. Actually better than a lot of highly rated burger place's fries (Stax, Burgerchino, Diamonds, Grandalfs). I was pleasantly surprised.
I ordered the Aussie burger which had a good amount of lettuce, beettoot, pineapple and an egg. Everything was fresh and tasty... except the patty. The only downside to this place is the meat. Frozen, low quality beef patties that are just not good. The sauces were all off-the-shelf too.
That said, they dont charge the same price as the big burger joints. This is more like a fresher McDonalds with prices to rival that of a major chain (especially the $13 lunch combo my girlfriend got).
So it's good value for money, but with those patties, it'll never be a burger place worth specifically visiting. But pop in if you need food and the only other option is take away.
Oh and I'm not sure if they'd just stocked the fridge or if they run it warmer to save money but my girlfriends can of coke wasnt as chilled as youd...
Read moreI’ve eaten here twice, just recently. My first review didn’t go up and I was so impressed with this place, I went out of my way to write this current review. The food I’ve gotten from here is awesome, the Texan cheeseburger in particular is super delicious, it’s loaded with flavour, properly cooked and still moist with loads of melted cheese and they are generous with the condiments for sure. My kids love this burger too and also the onion rings. Everything we’ve gotten is hot and fresh and I don’t know what seasoning the chips have but whatever it is is frickin amazing, I’d say this is the best burger place I’ve tried and I’ve tried all of them at least once. The wait time was not long, quicker than I expected. The girl who served me was super nice and helpful, and the prices are decent - the March special is 6.99 for a cheeseburger- enough said! I would definitely...
