This rice plate was the best $10 or below lunch that I ever have in Australia. As far as I can remember, I probably had only tried one another time for something worth below $10 during lunch (it was a pre-packed $9 small lunch box that I bought from CX Rundle Mall. To be honest, that wasn't good, so I never tried again).

This $9.9 special deal from Bakmi Lim inside the Rundle Place Food Court was simply a small plate of soy chicken rice. It was just one small ladle of steam rice with a few pieces of chicken dices and mushroom. I am not usually interested in this kind of special deal, but it suited my recent healthy diet, aiming for not gaining more weight.

The taste of the soy chicken rice was acceptable. If you prefer less carbohydrate and protein for lunch but don't like salads or wraps, this $9.9 special deal may be suitable to you.

Used to eat bakmi at their first store on Waymouth St and it was always delicious. Started working on the other side of town so for the past few years I've been going to the Rundle place shop. Not gonna lie over the years I've watched the quality slowly but surely drop. This makes me sad because their noodles were always so good. Always just got the roast pork bakmi, slowly but surely the quality/quantity of the pork has dropped and the price has increased. What kills me is this, today after not having their noodles for a while I got a bowl and the sauce has been thickened with starch and it's just gloopy nastiness. You guys never thickened the sauce it was just pure deliciousness now it's just gloopy nasty. This will be my last bowl from bakmi as while the actual noodles are still nice everything else I'm the bowl just ain't worth...

They forgot my order. In fact all I ordered was sriracha fries, but they managed to forget it in the fryer and only after I asked about it did they go and check on it. I had been waiting patiently for all the other orders being called, but the girl who took my order never appeared to even care that I was standing at the pick up counter waiting while she fulfilled all the other orders. What I'm most disappointed with is that they served me fries which were so overcooked and dark brown. They could have at least offered to make it again. There was one other person serving and he at least was apologetic about the incredibly long wait time, but I'm never going back there again. I never leave reviews, but I'm so unhappy about this experience that I have...

Bakmi Lim Noodle Project offers a delightful Asian culinary experience, focusing on traditional handmade noodles. The menu also features a selection of bao, rice bowls with options like Hainanese Chicken Rice, and Sriracha Mayo Fries, which are commonly ordered with the noodle dishes. We enjoyed the following dishes: • Hainanese Chicken Noodle Soup • Roast Pork Noodle Soup • Lim’s Mee Pok • Nasi Tim • Hot Steamed Bao Buns (Soy Chicken, Tofu Mushroom and Roast Pork) • Indonesian Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk •Thai Milk Tea with Condensed Milk Everything was absolutely delicious! My favorite dishes were the Hainanese chicken noodle soup and the spinach egg noodles with roast pork — both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had the traditional handmade noodle soup. Had braised pork with bbq pork and chilli as the toppings. I really liked it. We also had the roast pork bao. The Bao was cold and would have preferred them warm, we have had better else where. We were given spoons that were pretty much useless and had to drink soup from the bowl itself. We thought we were given wrong spoons so my wife asked for soup spoons but was told that’s all they had. The food came out reasonably quick during lunchtime and the staff were friendly whilst taking our order. I would definitely come back for the noodle soup.
