Bond & Lane — Restaurant in Adelaide

I went to Bond n Lane this morning and was disgusted when i got swormed by wasps when im allergic. Sat down and. food got placed on my table excited to dig in, all of a sudden a wasp flew through and got stuck on the yoke of my egg. But it didn’t end there they kept jumping on and off my bacon and eggs crawling through it. Obviously this is now un edible, so when i simple asked to get a new one they declined harshly. I was in utter shock but agreed that i would still eat it and asked for a take away tray so we could move away. It was than where the employee didn’t come back out with tray and more wasps filled the plate. Whilst starving and already payed for this food. Decided to go ask if i could get one remade again. But got rudely Interrupted saying it’s that’s what come with sitting outside. Although if i knew that’s what came with sitting outside i never would’ve sat there. I than had to pay another 20$ for a new rushed food considering the other was inedible. Walked away with it in a take away bag cold and squashed and stomach rumbling. I have been going to this cafe for years and very regularly on a Sunday morning. Last Sunday was beyond disappointing - ordered my coffees for a friend and I and one of the specials on breakfast menu. Paid and was then told the breakfast special was not available. I said I’d order something else instead (fruit and nut bread). Needed this to have dairy free spread (cannot eat butter)and asked for honey. This came out after some time - cold, dry, tough (with Jam) - asked waitress to swap for honey. the bread was extremely unenjoyable and after trying to chew through 1/4 took it back to staff. They spoke to manager in the kitchen who said “that’s how it is and it’s meant to have butter and jam”. She did not offer an alternative or refund and instead threw my meal in the bin. I asked for a replacement and was told if I wanted it I’d have to pay again! The managers staff were very uncomfortable being the messenger. Manager did not come to speak to me directly. Most dreadful customer service I’ve ever received! Coffees were lukewarm and not strong despite extra shots that we paid for. I love our community and always want to support locals but will not...

Unfortunately coming here has become a hassle for the staff. We walked in and simply asked for a table and we were made to feel like it was our fault for being there and we were a hinderance. The what I presume was the manager was rude and although we asked for a table inside first there was a family that got seated inside before us and we were left to an outside table with the promise to be moved inside once a table was available. We sat outside for 5 minutes with no communication at all on whether we would be served or had to go up and order or told where the menus were. When we went back up to order the family (3 people) got moved to another massive table for 6 people inside and the table they were on inside was filled by some people that had arrived after us. The lack of communication and care was really poor and so we will not be back again as this isn’t the first time the service has...
