Daw Park Fish and Chip Shop — Restaurant in Adelaide

Ordered 3 Butterfish, 1 Pineapple Fritter, a Large serve of Chips and a Large Gravy. The meal was delivered on time, but no gravy... Immediately called up and informed them that the gravy hadn't been delivered. Was told the delivery guy was doing another delivery but he would get us our gravy straight after. 30 mins later still no gravy. Called up again and was told it was on its way and that we were getting a complimentary drink. Bear in mind this amount of food was clearly not for one person. Another 25 minutes pass. Still no gravy. This is now 55 minutes after we received our order. I call up again. Was informed it's a few minutes away. Informed them that the food was already cold, he said we could give it back to the driver for a refund. Told them not to bother, was starving and it's easier to just reheat it. Driver then arrived with gravy and our complimentary CAN OF SPRITE. THATS RIGHT, A MEASELY 375ML CAN OF SPRITE. FOR 2 PEOPLE. AS COMPENSATION FOR US HAVING TO WAIT A WHOLE HOUR FOR GRAVY TO BE DELIVERED. FOR US HAVING TO REHEAT OUR ENTIRE MEAL. I’ve ordered from here only 3 times ever and EVERY time I have found HARD, CHEWWY and GRISTLY bits in my AB pack! The only reason I went back after the first time is because other places have been closed at the time of ordering. Today I ordered a large AB pack which barely had any meat in it but just loads of onions to try and disguise the lack of meat! It was also FREEZING COLD and yep you guessed it had lots of horrible gristly bits in it that just made it impossible for me to be able to keep eating. This restaurant clearly cuts corners and the quality is dreadful. I understand running a business can be hard and mistakes can be made but this is clearly a real issue at this restaurant and I hope that they seriously up there game in terms of quality and giving there customers what they pay for, such as adding more meat when it is a large instead of just adding more onions to make it look as tho more has been added. I’ve been trying to keep my reviews positive but I have to warn off other people about this place. They are walking distance from us but as we didn’t want to drive we used Uber to place a large order. The first order was marked as not available so we changed it (family fish meal) we had to order all separately (at greater charge)! After an hour it still not even been collected so we went to the restaurant and were told flatly they were busy and ordered had not yet been started. We asked to cancel it and we’re told they could not and had to contact Uber. When we cancel with Uber we were charged full price as the shop had marked it ready for driver to collect. Uber said shop should have cancelled so we went back to the shop and he flatly lied to us claiming he can not cancel it. He then claimed we had to talk to his boss when quite clearly him and his wife on a Friday night are obviously the owners. He just lied to us and took our money.
