Clay & Coal Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Adelaide

Very discriminating to the browns. So I went to dine in here and these are my observations. The hostess/ owner was extremely rude.

She has clear partition in her restaurant of where Aussies / white sit and where Brown ppl will sit.

It was very cold and we had a toddler with us, so we asked her to turn on the heat of our side which she simply refused. When we requested to move to other part of the restaurant where Aussies/ whites were sitting and was warm she said the seats are reserved (there were only 2 seats occupied and almost 5-7 empty)

We were waiting for our order and requested the appetiser first then main course. She got main course first and was ignorant of the request we made.

Never going to this place again. It’s not that food is exceptional but hospitality sucks. Very very...

a very disappointing experience i ordered tandoori lamb chops (sorry we dont have any) so i ordered a HALF !!! tandoori chicken and being a butcher for 46 years i know the anatomy of a chicken. i received my plate and said to the waitress is this a HALF chicken? she said yes so i received 1 drumstick 1 drumette which was bigger than the drumstick so not even close to being off the same bird and 2 pieces of breast that would be lucky to weigh 30 grams and there was no wingette and no thigh at all to say you are serving a half chicken you should deliver it $18.90 and it came with a salad that would struggle to weigh 10 grams then our table had lots of light fittings above maybe 4 sets of 2 with only 3 globes in them not sure...

AMAZING! Perfect and friendly customer service, beautiful waiting and dining rooms, super clean, low prices, short wait times and PLENTY of vegan options!!

I called them outside of their advertised hours and the call went to voicemail..they called me back IMMEDIATELY! They helped explain some of their options and even gave suggestions! They said the wait time was 15 mins so I sat on one of their comfortable couches and less than 10 mins later had my meal! The food was as great as the people who cooked and served it! Cannot recommend Clay and Coal enough! I got the Aloo Gobi and Vegetable Samosas.. they both melted in my mouth!...
