The Master of Bread — Restaurant in Adelaide

Have been driving past this place forever and have always wanted to stop in. I shouldn't have bothered. The decor was very dated and bland. The young girl serving us was clueless and had to keep asking other staff questions. I asked for their chicken and avo baguette menu item which was sposed to have tomato, cheese and mayo aswell as the chicken and avo, all I got was chicken and avo, which was not fresh but from a commercial squeezy tube. And it was not a baguette as advertised in the menu but just a plain bread roll. My friend opted for the vegetarian quiche which took forever for them to heat up, honestly I think they forgot because I had to ask what was happening with her order as we sat and waited, and waited, and waited. I was shocked to see as I walked in, the baked offerings just sitting on the counter out in the open not covered at all. The only reason I gave 3 stars for the food was because the quiche...

Maybe I went in on the wrong day/wrong time? I am really sorry to say this but I did not think this good italian food? I went in at 8pm and ordered lasagne and a pastry take away...Not even close to Italian bakery really. 'Meat' Lasagne is lasagne sheets with chopped ham, a bit of sugo in between and way too much cheap cheese on top. Sfogliatella wasnt flaky in the slightest just one big bit of hard sweet pastry with a hard lump of Ricotta inside. Sorry, but I think whoever goes here need to be warned, or maybe there needs to be some kind of quality control at night. I'll try again in the morning because I do love italian pastries...but this...

Poorly stocked shelves and basically 3-4 pies in pie warmer.. Waited and waited to get served. Didn't have the veg options so I tried to get a salad sandwich, but person didn't seem to understand that. Had to tell her how to do it. Dreaded eating it because the fillings were what you'd put on pizza. Partner tried to get egg and lettuce roll. 20 minutes later we are still standing there, waiting, waiting. Waiting waiting waiting. Walked out. This place was a prime example of incompetence. Owners should attend more often to watch how hopeless the two young...
