Brightstar Brewing — Restaurant in Adelaide

I had my husband’s 40th birthday party here on Saturday night and it was extremely disappointing. Firstly, despite email confirmation of what food would be provided on the platters, this was not what was provided on the day. I appreciated being given gluten free crackers in a little pot, but when asking where certain food was to be told essentially “we don’t know about that” was quite poor. The hot food was great, the drinks were great too, which was the highlight. Secondly, the staff were not friendly, in particular the younger female staff member… several of our party made complaints to me that she was glaring, didn’t speak, seemed to want to be anywhere else and was clearing people’s drinks when they were half drunk. She took my drink away with half my drink remaining, so I was made to purchase another. The gentleman working quite literally stood there and had my father down his beer so he could take the glass… what kind of pushy service is that? We were told we weren’t allowed to play any music, which for the hour there were other people in the establishment was totally understood but from 7:45 onwards we were the only group there and remained so for the entire evening. The remaining staff started packing up around us prior to 9:00pm and called last drinks at 9:00pm when closing time is 10:00pm, which made everyone uncomfortable. From 7:30 onwards the general atmosphere from the staff was “hurry up and get out” which was extremely disappointing. We were all happily aware of 10:00pm being closing time, but having your chairs pushed in on you, tables being cleared and pack up starting from before 9:00pm was just rude and uncomfortable. I am deeply disappointed in the service that was provided as it absolutely tainted what should have been a really good night and I will be pursuing this through private...

The Rueben was the best I've ever had!!!

The staff member who served us made the best drinks and had the best ideas about what we all would like. Absolutely outstanding service by the gentleman.

Even at the end of his shift. He had his backpack on and could have left then and there but he still came over to assist us one last time. Much appreciated!

Unfortunately I didn't get his name. All other staff were kind and caring.

They also had the Matchbox Twenty playlist going! Perfection. Good to see this place keeps up with the times and what's going on around them.

We made a very last minute booking with uncertain numbers so that a group of us could attend the family fun day at Brightstar where they had a huge inflatable waterside available for kids aged 2 - 12. They staff were so friendly and accommodating - allowing us to amend our booking as people in our group came and went at various times throughout the afternoon. They even allowed us to bring along a gazebo and picnic rugs for us to set up outside so we could watch our little ones on the slide while we enjoyed refreshing beers and delicious food in the sunshine.
