Ricca Coffee Company — Restaurant in Adelaide

I’m almost reluctant to post this review - we got a table straight away and I want to make sure this happens next time we visit (because there’ll DEFINITELY be another visit!) We drove past 2 other cafes in the area, which were rammed & full of prams blocking in-between tables, then literally stumbled on Ricca. Super-friendly staff, great food and amazing coffee. I had the eggs Benny with spinach & hubby had the big breakfast. Both were perfect, eggs poached beautifully and more than enough food to see us through to late afternoon. We were shocked to learn they’ve been roasting coffee on site for 50 years, as we’d never come across Ricca before. The cafe has apparently only recently been updated and it has that cool, semi-industrial look to it, but still feels cosy and inviting (which I think is mostly to do with the lovely staff!) I get my Whole Beans 🫘 here and have had their breakfasts 🍳 twice and on both times never failed. Delivery was fast and nice and piping hot ! Which is what I appreciate a hot breakfast! Perfectly cooked. Coffee is sublime and always consistent. Beans are roasted fresh on site so its prime. Service is friendly and you get treated like family

EDIT- Barista Here. I love the Ethiopian Yiragacheffe coffee its bang on profile! Enjoy best served black as cold brew and press/ pour over. I make double espresso shots for milk based cappuccino in the morning. I also drink EY as a short/ lungo machiato or even Americano ☕️

I joined my partner for lunch here as he frequents Ricca during his work breaks and wanted me to try it out. I absolutely love Biscoff, so I was super keen to try their Biscoff hot chocolate. A lot of places don’t do it properly - too weak, too strong, only putting some lotus biscuit on top and not in the drinks etc - but it was amazing at Ricca. I can’t wait to try their other hot chocolates

I also got a chicken and avocado focaccia which was really nice. My partner got his usual, a caesar focaccia, which has a delicious sauce.

All of this, plus the prices are so good. The average menu item was around $11, which is really hard to come by nowadays, so that really made for a great visit.
