Went to the Broady for burger night last night. Ordered two burgers from a male staff member who couldn’t manage a smile or a hello, just a look of general disinterest. Order some drink from the female staff member who was delightful. We had waited 45 minutes and no food had arrived so I went to check at the bar with an older male staff member. I explained we had been waiting 45 minutes and could he please check with the kitchen on our order. He said it’s always like this on Thursday for some reason and said he would check. He then went back to chatting with the other male staff member and as far as I could see he didn’t even bother to facilitate my request nor did he apologise for the delay or bother to follow up with me. After another 10 minutes I went back to the bar and spoke to a young female staff member who apologised for the delay and immediately went to the kitchen. She returned shortly after and again apologised for the delay and a few minutes later our food arrived. I’m a local and frequent the pub regularly. I feel sorry for the owner as the male staff working last night gave me the impression that their customers are an...

We spontaneously called in for dinner tonight (16/1/2025). Ordered drinks and dinner and sat in the front bar. Overwhelming the service was disappointing, we are locals and come here often. The male staff member seemed to deliberately ignore customers, my wife took our 2 glasses to the bar ready to order 2 more and he took the empty glasses and walked away- did not acknowledge her at all. When she called out he replied Oh, I thought someone else was helping you!!! Reluctantly he served her. We waited 1hr 20mins for our 2 burgers to arrive, we asked the male staff member at about 1hr10mins how far away our meals would be- he rolled his eyes at me, sighed, and said "you are the 6th person to ask me that, we are always busy on Thursday nights" and asked a female co-worker to check. He did not come back to update me with an answer. Perhaps when people order your staff could let them know about the long wait- we then could have chosen to stay or go else where. The customer service, from the 2 males in the front bar was ordinary, not a pleasant experience...

Went for a friend's party tonight. Whole load of us ordered meals, one meal didn't come out. Staff asked if all meals had come out, advised that one wasn't, they asked what was missing. Explained a schnitzel meal was missing, they brought out receipts and said there wasn't one ordered. Person showed they had paid for the meal, staff member walked away, and then another staff member came out and challenged the query and told the person they had to prove they had paid! Explained it had already been shown but staff member wanted to see it for herself. No apology offered or anything, asked for meal to be cancelled and give money back. The lady had to go up to the bar and physically ask for her money back before it got reimbursed. When table was being cleared of everyone else's meals, they brought out the missing schnitzel. Given the size of the party, I was disgusted at the response and treatment directed at this lady over a schnitzel dinner. Will be a long time before I go back...

This is another excellent Adelaide suburban pub. Located off Brighton Road along The Broadway, it is ideally suited for a good pub meal. We went for a Sunday lunch and ordered the kids pizza meal deal (great value by the way), a seniors chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce, seniors roast of the day (pork roast today), the Broady deluxe beef burger, buttermilk chicken burger and the calamari salad. Terrific idea to get the kids meal out first before they get too restless! All the adult meals were served promptly after ordering and were hot and fresh. The burgers were a particularly great meal. Make sure you book. Sunday lunch was busy, but bar and table staff were very efficient. Great atmosphere and not too noisy in the dining area where we were. Good to have a spot to eat and chat where there is no overbearing music in the dining area.

We had lunch here on a Tuesday, it was a very busy place. We didn't book, but we're lucky to get a table in the bristro. There were other areas that we could had eaten, like the beer garden. There were lots of friendly staff, who cleared the table as soon as someone left. The prices were reasonable and the food was more than filling. There was also a seniors menu , everything on it was $18.00. The toilets were clean with easy access to the disabled one. There is a carpark out the back and if you are lucky, ones right out the front. You go to the bar to order drinks and there is water on the tables if you are sober Bob.
