I want to review higher, but unfortunately a few things dropped my rating. Firstly when we arrived we waited quite a while before speaking to a coffee server, I asked if we could sit at table 15. While waiting, a few new people arrived and the servers immediately asked them if they were eating or just grabbing coffee, they had not even tried to ask us this, just ignored us until I came up to the counter to ask if we could sit. The server who took our order was nice. The server who brought our food out (young lady with glasses) was sour, she seemed to be having a bad morning or something. The lady washing the dishes touched the mouth part of our water bottle for our table water. The vanilla chai latte was nice, but had a little too much foam, I should have asked for no foam, so that's my fault. Table 15 is fairly close to the toilets, so I could smell the urinal cakes used in the men's toilet. I ordered ham eggs Benedict and one egg was too runny to eat unfortunately, also I prefer thick ham with eggs Benedict, but that's my preference. My partner had a bacon and eggs breakfast, and unfortunately the bacon was overcooked and the tomato was barely cooked. We liked the atmosphere in this place, and the price was decent, but unfortunately I had to give 3 stars due to all...
Read moreThe lovely ladies always make our day when we go for our catch-ups. Our coffees, chai, hot or iced chocolates are always perfect with our particular orders. The lovely ladies and guys at the food counter always make our food spot on and deliver it with a smile. It's lovely to be able to have some smaller and lighter menu options too and still have the quality- it means that friends with medical conditions can still have something to eat without missing out. We love the open toasties (melts), Hashbrowns, pancakes, Pizza and more. Also when you need that giant piece of cake during an extremely stressed week they've got that too and so many yummy types from cheesecake to lighter cakes and giant Vanilla slices - and if you want icecream and cream on the side - it's no trouble at all. It's lovely to have added privacy of the option of having a booth or having a table in the outdoor area too. Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you again...
Read moreProbably the most over rated place to eat in gawler. Service is slow and inattentive. Amateur staff not properly trained in customer service and lack of food knowledge sums up the front of house staff.
Food is average, probably less satisfying than a regular pub meal. If you are use to eating schnitzels than you wont have a problem. However for the quality of food being produced, i find that paying anywhere to 18 bucks for a meal is not justified since fasta pasta sells better meals for equal or even less than asking price.
Atmosphere is loud and bright. great if you want to have a group meal but as a couple, you can expect to shout from opposite sides of the table to have a conversation.
For those wine enthusiasts, the menu is the worst in all of gawler. None of the wines compliment the meals and it seems as if the wine i got poured had been an opened bottle from god knows how...
