Café Ritz — Restaurant in Adelaide

Don't often post a review unless the service made a lasting impact of some sort so here it goes: Went there today to grab some hot lunch to go. I've always passed by this cafe and noticed a lot of people coming in so going by what I see, the place must be great. There was already a small queue when we arrived however service was pretty quick and one of the ladies smiled and took our order. Food was nice and hot, tastes great and I enjoyed it. A bit pricey for the serving so won't really recommend to those looking for really cheap eats. Service was average - I do get sometimes the atmosphere can be quite busy but really, it pays to be a bit nicer. I spoke clearly to the two who took our orders but, on several occasions, they just looked at me as if they couldn't understand a single word I said. Anyway, would we come back again? Maybe but not likely - more than anything, a great customer service makes a big first impression and for us, unfortunately it wasn't a very pleasant one. Heaps more places around to try out with...

I told them about an order that they had gotten wrong. I was really polite about it. But the grumpy woman at the front service just said "oh. they must have misheard it". no apology whatsover. you're in the service industry. at least show some sympathy for the customer who paid good money but did not get value. Good coffee but the food was just fair.

I came here quite often for coffee, the coffee was good. The barista man was always friendly and he could make consistent quality coffee.

I tried one time the hot food from the counter. I selected 3 choices. The portion of each dish was small. Eventually I paid $18 for something I didn't enjoy. I don't think I would order hot food again but will definitely come...
