Cafe Froot — Restaurant in Adelaide

I have eaten here many times previously with great experiences until this one. On the 29th December 13 of us celebrated 3 birthdays. We could not make a booking. We started with 2 tables then was able to snag a 3rd and 4th. The waiter asked if that was necessary? Well you can barely fit 3 people with meals at 1 table so 'yes'. A latte made with the wrong milk came out and the service was disgusting with a lot of attitude as did the drinks following the 1st one. The dietary requirements were not taken seriously and dismissed with a disgruntled attitude causing this person to be sick for the rest of the day. I was shocked at this poor service which started due to 13 people needing to sit with 4 tables. We all ordered food so spent quite a bit of $$$. The food was great as always but doubtful we will ever return because of how we were treated by 1 person who has been there everytime I have visited. Very disappointing...

Unfortunately, I have to post this review. We visit froot every time we are in Adelaide and in the past the food and service was always great - well priced, large portions however this last time we went it was shocking. There was a HAIR in my food, LIPSTICK on my glass, considering we’re in the middle of COVID, one would expect more vigilance. To top it off our poached eggs came out hard boiled. To make it worse (hence why I’m writing the review), I very quietly provided this information to the server as to not draw attention however after telling her there was ZERO acknowledgement from the wait staff or owner. My partner took me to this place, telling me how amazing was the food. But WORST SMASH AVO I have ever had in my life in all Australia. The avocado came on thin slices, it was raw which make it hard and no flavour, bread didn’t have any butte, was burn and feta came just few crumbs. Basically full of rocket and I’ve paid $20 for that, where I can make it at home even better. My partner ordered a brekkie burger and he got a normal meat burger with chips. He would be happy but the meat tasted like if it was from Coles. We are not fuzzy with food, but this place...
