Have always had a good experience here until the last time. Asked for a chicken yiros minus tomato... Got a chicken yiros with cucumber and balsamic vinegar. Asked if there had been a mistake the girl behind the counter interrupted me and told me I was wrong this was a "traditional" Greek yiros. Being born in Greece myself I asked her what part of Greece she was from that serves cucumber and balsamic in a yiros which she then went silent and the very nice lady came over to help me. She told me that I was given exactly what was on the board. She was very nice I apologized and realized my mistake. As I started walking out I looked up and there was no mention of cucumber or balsamic. Just the real "traditional" ingredients on the board. (tomato, onion, tzatziki, chips, etc) Sorry.... I just want to be given what I asked for one chicken yiros from the board minus tomato. The nice lady agreed when I showed her the board had no mention of the other rubbish that had no place in a yiros. They agreed to make another 'yiros' with the first girl clearly unhappy at me and when I asked for lettuce they said they don't have lettuce only premixed Greek salad.... Sigh.... OK just plain chicken yiros.... I still had hope we would get there... Came out as an old chicken souvlaki that was cold. Cmon guys. Took it back to the counter untouched and the nice lady told me they don't do chicken yiros there as chicken is only souvlaki on a stick. As I could see the big rack of chicken yiros turning behind her I could finally see that I was not welcome there. My party of five all enjoyed there yiros platters but I made the mistake clearly of expecting a chicken yiros as advertised on the board. Sorry guys.....

Halloumi fries Meat from the spit (pork and lamb) Calamari Prawn skewers Chips And a couple of beers ( Sadly out of stock or corona) This came in at ~$100
You know you've been to a good place when even the simple things taste good. The Halloumi fries with a bit of lemon alone was exactly what a starter should be. Delicious leading you wanting more.
The Lamb from the spit was 100% what you would imagine it would taste like.
The prawn skewers had a nice marinade and you could tell they were fresh and cooked well.
The chips alone were better then many other chip shops out there.
The 2 things that in my eyes could have been better.
The Calamari which was similar to a standard salt and pepper squid at a bar was sadly solely let down by the fact it wasn't up to the high standards set by the rest of the courses.
(To be clear if we had have just ordered the Calamari we would have left happy)
The pork I think solely as it may have been end of line wasn't quite as good as the rest but If this was the low point dish then hence the 5 star review for the rest.
Lastly the lady running it (assumedly the owner) Was just that , The kind of person that treats it like their own business and has that ability to provide service with a smile.
Can't wait to make a...
Read moreVisited this place after taking the dogs to the beach. There were tables and chairs outside with water bowls for thirsty pooches. You place your order at the counter and are given an electronic disc which goes off (vibrates) when your order is ready to be picked up. I learnt from one of the waitresses that 'Skara' is the Greek word for rotisserie. Whilst having our meal (yiros) we noticed that the place was popular with a wide range of people; many of them occupying the tables outside and others preferring to order takeaways. There is a gelateria besides the restaurant that is also part of the place and there is a small area where patrons can choose to bed seated if they prefer the indoors. All in all a nice establishment with modest prices and a good sized yiros. When we drove past on our way home about 15 or 20 minutes later, we noticed that the outside tables were all occupied. A very popular...
