Threatened me when I complained about the food: ordered a Chicken Supreme pizza from Domino’s Newtown, my second time ordering from them. The first experience (a different pizza) was average, but this time the quality was unacceptable. The pizza arrived without visible capsicum, and the chicken smelled bad and tasted off; it was inedible. I had to peel the chicken off to even try eating it, and after two slices, I had to stop.
Following Domino’s policy, I called the store directly. They initially said they’d need to collect the pizza and test it for food safety before issuing a refund. I agreed and requested a replacement in the meantime. They offered to send another chicken pizza, but I explained I couldn’t trust the chicken again and asked for a non-chicken alternative, like a Paneer pizza. They agreed.
However, minutes later, they called back and reversed their position. They said they would issue a refund but would not collect the pizza, and shockingly, told me I would not be served again in the future, accusing me of trying to get free food. I clarified that I had simply followed Domino’s refund policy and even agreed to their inspection process even if I didn’t receive a replacement. They responded that they didn’t have anyone available to pick it up, but that was not my fault.
The conversation became unprofessional. I was threatened with refusal of service for reporting a legitimate food safety concern, and accused of scamming despite requesting proper procedural review. I ultimately had to throw the pizza away.
This was a terrible experience, and I believe it violates Domino’s own stated policies on customer service, food safety, and complaint handling. I expect formal action...
Read moreWorst experience at newton branch Adelaide SA. We order vegorama vegetarian pizza without onion garlic and customized toppings as my son is allergic with onion and garlic.First time they made without paneer and offering us to give 1 dollar back as they forgot to add topping. After wait of 45 mins they made 2nd time pizza and we take that delivery to eat at home and found that they added onion as a topping on pizza even though we clearly customized our pizza without onion and garlic which is allergic to us. We went back to the shop and ask him why it was like that he straightway asking do you want refund as your customized pizza is very tricky. We have been eating these customize pizza since long at other dominos branch if they can make it then what's the problem here as seems to be a tricky . We don't understand . We never ask for refund as my son is egar to eat dominos and they made us to wait almost one and half hour and worst service . Never suggest to go at newton branch and hopeless manager Mr. Yagnik . Not respecting the customer and don't have understanding about the ingredients and toppings. We have ask for use white cream sauce he read it no egg in that still he was making confusion and saying by himself that even though there is no egg mention in ingredient but still there will be egg and no white sauce can make without egg and tried indirectly not to make again pizza. I will definitely go to the consumer and business also SA health with all order receipt and pizza picture . Never visit this branch . Find the attached picture for...
Read moreOK. Decided to try newton again. Aggrrr!! Again!! They forgot the garlic bread so that was very cold and uneatable when we got it. Chicken bites are disgusting!! WHERE HAVE THE CHICKEN TENDERS GONE?? They were the only really great thing on the menu. Plainoven baked wings should NOT be spicey!! How can 1 pizza with ham and pineapple be nearly $24 🤔😫.I mean totally a rip off. Come on newton. Put some pride into your work!! Obviously the manager doesn't care but doesn't mean you can't!! Going to contact the state office. It's unacceptable how you run this place manager!! BAD BAD leadership
Oven baked wings were not stated as being spicey but they were, very. When you can't eat it for medical reasons this is Important you get what you've ordered. They were also so very oily!! Disgusting!! And why can't you guys EVER cut the pizzas all the way through. They are barely cut at all and I only have one hand so it gets extremely messy. I've said this in reviews many times but it never changes!! It can't be that hard. The pizza's need to be cut all the way through to the bottom of the pizza. When you have a disability that especially includes the use of your hand or hands, this is very important. I'm sick of having to say this. It should not be an issue!!!! Please fix. Let's just say if I could order from another shop and go pick it up I would!! Newton, pull your socks up and do the job properly. Thank you for your time.
Picture below. Only one piece properly cut through 😒 Another Pizza not cut...
