Green Corner Kitchen — Restaurant in Adelaide

Crumbed prawns were heaven, good value. I got the "prawn pack". It consists of 9 crumbed prawns (should be more, like say 15), coleslaw (which I gave to my wife, as I can't have a lot of dairy products.) small tub of tartare sauce (which I would compare to barnacle bills.), and a truckload of chips. I believe flake and barramundi are available too. Butterfish pretty good too. Always a truckload of chips. Could probably get them without chicken salt. Haven't tried the burgers. Like most fish and chips places, was kinda loud, (but I think that was coz the fryers are right behind the counter.) Haven't tried the chicken. Green Corner Kitchen is an institution and is to be commended for achieving a constant level of reliable quality over the years. The shop has been a part of Gawler for longer than I have, and the original owner (RIP) created something that has stood the test of time. Not even a fire that destroyed the original shop in the 80's could stop it, and even though it has changed hands the quality remains the same. Not that this is high quality dining - don't go in expecting that. This is delicious rotisary chicken, far tastier than a supermarket can hope for, fish, chips, burgers, salads, gravy. I went to the Green Corner Kitchen early this evening for two chickens, $16 worth of chips and two extra large salads, as our local chicken shop must have been closed due to the holiday period (no answer when I rang on the phone to order). I found the staff member who served me very pleasant and helpful. The order was filled promptly. The food was excellent; all my family enjoyed the meal. The chips were cooked to perfection.
