Grill'd Burgers - Unley — Restaurant in Adelaide

I came in with my 2 kids. I ordered and bought my kids a meal and chips plus a drink, spend around $50. Kids sat down at the table and I went to do a quick grocery shop. I was gone for 35 minutes once I returned one of your very rude and unfriendly staff members came up to me and said 'This is not a day care centre ' I was absolutely shocked and embarrassed that someone would actually say that to a customer. Obviously she had a problem with me personally. I wasn't gone for a ridiculous amount of time and kids were upset. My son has a phone and he actually called me to tell me food arrived 15 minutes prior. If there is a issue with minors left without adult supervision there should be a sign. It's Grilled it's a kids place and not a fine dining experience. My son went there with my daughter many times without me and they had lunch or dinner. My son is in high school and daughter is 10 as a mother I think it's a acceptable age for them to be independent and get a burger. I actually called head office and I also spoke to area manager and both could not believe what happened and how rude your staff member was. She obviously needs to learn some manners and maybe improve her customer skills as lacking in both. Absolutely revolting and disgusting behaviour that is totally unacceptable.Staff at Head office and area manager was very professional and helpful and I appreciate all their help. It was a total opposite experience to what I experienced at your unley store maybe it's something your worker...

A rather disappointing experience on my actual birthday, lured by the free chips offer on your birthday, this time we chose the Unley store, previously (years apart) we chose the Norwood store. On both occasions we were met with ‘the barcode did not scan’ so we ended up being charged for the offer. We ordered the ‘feed me family bundle’, this naturally had burgers, chicken bites and chips. We said we wanted to try the zucchini chips, so was charged regular, as the barcode did not scan, and nowhere does the offer indicate the portion size. The cashier was inexperienced, ignored the offer and failed to advise the offer did not scan. Staff, including manager lacked professionalism. The same happened at the Norwood branch. It doesn’t matter if the barcode did not scan, the offer should be honoured. For the sake of $3.80 (small serving) we were troubled twice on separate occasions relating to same incident, which is why we believe we were lured into the restaurant. The 3x burgers (Simon Says) were rather dry. One of the burger had a burnt piece of charcoal about 1cm cube. Poor service, food and experience, we won’t be returning...

Great place for burgers and fries. Also good to know that their ingredients are locally sourced and every burger is made fresh for you on the spot. We were pleasantly surprised by how good their chips were! Tried the Zucchini fries and the Classic Potato chips. Both were fried to perfection and nice bite to it. For burgers we tried the Zorba the Sheep lamb burger and Simply Grill'd beef burger. The lamb burger was a great option especially with the goat cheese and egg mayo going so well with the burger.
