BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and the dish WAS TOO SUGARY and EXPENSIVE. About customer service, first time ever we experienced that bad customer service. For more details, we planned to use the Liven FOODOLLARS (bought on the day) aligned with this restaurant and do not know that they had removed themselves on Liven. However, the manager was rudely and loudly talking back to us, not even tried to listen a single words we were saying. (We truly just want to give them feedbacks so that no more customers will be in the same situations like us). The staff's customer service was okay. About food, we ordered Chargrill Squid, Pork Yakisoba, Unagi Donburi (grilled eel rice) and Ice Hojicha drink. All the dishes come as a small size and nothing taste good. With the Grilled eel with rice ($28.90) it's too sweet and have a fishy smell. Pork noodle stir fry came with a small size that I have ever seen a stir fry noodle that TOO LITTLE like that in Australia and its taste like dry mixed instant noodle. The chargrill squid is not really okay taste for us - nothing special. I don't know how and why Gyoza Gyoza had rated 4.2 on Google. They are definitely overrated.

Great food, terrible service, careless staff. Over charged with wrong drink. We ordered Sparking Sake with Jelly set, which says $16.90 for 680 ml on the menu, but what we got is only about 300 ml (compare with the 330 ml beer on the side). The waitress simply explains the menu was wrong but the price is right, however while I was taking the order, I asked her, is this set come with two cups as we want to share this 680 ml drink, it's too much for myself. She said yes at the time. We didn't end up with two cups and she denies my questions at time of ordering. When I ask her if the menu was wrong why not inform me while taking order? especially after my question. I personally won't get 300 ml sake (most of it is jelly any way) for $17. She just said, this drink is very popular but we haven't come up with anyone ask about this so we did't realize theres is a problem. Am I making troubles for you after I only get half my drink, and I pay double of the price? In the end all we get is just a sorry and charged with $16.90 for half of the drink we should get.

A pleasant meal in nice surroundings, with fair service and very reasonable price (At a time when there were no other diners.) The pork and garlic Gyoza were enjoyable, with a generous garlic kick I was looking for…. the amount of filling was on the light side. Chicken Karaage portions were large, nicely spiced coating that combined very well with the mayo; and the ebi was in a light tempura batter and accompanied by a tasty dipping sauce. Japanese (genuine) wait staff were helpful, suggesting that an order of 10 Gyoza might be too much (& she was right)…. Clean and contemporary Japanese inspired decor. There’s a lot to like …. Particularly if your looking for a genuine Japanese restaurant…. It just doesn’t quite hit a wow moment, though the price is very reasonable.

This place has been having understaffing issue for a long time. We were sitting at the table for nearly 25 minutes to be finally served. And further waiting for the food to come out. We saw a couple walked out after waiting too long for their food and we nearly did too. My son was insisting on eating there and that’s why we stayed.

It was busy with one big group of people being the reason of all the delay, but as a restaurant on a Friday night, they were not prepared and understaffed. We have been to another restaurant a couple of weeks ago with full booking (so full that they had to turn a few customers away), only one floor staff and ONE chef in the kitchen. We were served and received our food within half an hour! We had 5 people and ordered a lot of food including a live lobster! All food were served within 45 minutes.

Goyoza should really consider their staffing problem and put more people on for the price they charge. Food was not cheap but the...
