Gelatissimo Gouger St — Restaurant in Adelaide

We had a very disappointing experience at this ice cream shop today. The cone broke at approximately 1/3 of the way from the end and the whole ice cream fell to the ground before we even finished paying. Only a 3 cm corn remained in my hand. What made it worse was that none of the staff offered to replace it or even asked if we needed help. Not even a voucher was offered. We ended up having to pay for a second one ourselves. We have spent hundreds of dollars at this shop, but this lack of basic customer service was really frustrating and left us very disappointed.

The ice cream today was obviously smaller than what we previously had. Hope the store can provide the same...

If you’re after seriously delicious ice cream, you can’t go wrong with Gelatissimo. Their gelato is so smooth, rich, and packed with flavour — you can really taste the quality in every scoop. They’ve got a huge range of flavours too, from the classics to some really fun, creative ones, so there’s always something new to try.

Everything tastes super fresh, and they don’t hold back on the good stuff — whether it’s chunks of chocolate, swirls of caramel, or fresh fruit pieces. Plus, the staff are always friendly and happy to let you sample a few before you choose (which makes it even harder because they’re all so good!).

The gelato here has always been a favourite with many flavours and great consistency between visits. I always order the decadent cookie dough flavoured gelato and never fails with chunky choc chips and bits of cookie dough in each bite. We specifically came to get the $3 scoop which was an absolute steal. I love how they give you tastings to explore whay you’d enjoy the most and always have new flavours to try out. The service is usually good except this one staff member left her co worker to deal with the busy place while she was on her phone giggling. Not the best sight...
