Disappointing Dining Experience at Parafield Venue Tonight, five of my colleagues and I visited this restaurant in Parafield for a team dinner catch-up. Two of my colleagues had previously dined here and spoke positively about the food, so we were looking forward to the meal. We ordered eight main dishes along with a large serving of rice to share , but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The noodle dish was the first disappointment: soggy, lacking any texture or flavour, a complete letdown. The salt and pepper squid was equally poor drenched in oil, lacking any seasoning, and arguably the worst version of the dish any of us have encountered. One of the more concerning issues was the fried chicken wings, which were served undercooked. When we raised this with the staff, there was no apology , just an offer to re-cook or refund. My colleague opted for a refund, but the lack of basic courtesy was surprising. The chicken curry lacked any distinctive curry flavour, and the “creamy black pepper steak” was bland and unseasoned, tasting nothing like what was advertised. And finally, the rice the usually a staple strength at any Asian restaurant ,was a total failure. Overcooked and clumpy, it had the consistency of something prepared by a child with no supervision. Despite several chefs of Asian origin visible in the open kitchen, the quality of food was shockingly poor. What’s puzzled was that the venue was packed with families. We genuinely wondered whether this was due to a lack of other options in the area or if we had somehow walked into a dining equivalent of The Matrix. In short, this was a bitterly disappointing meal. Based on our experience, I would strongly hesitate to recommend...
Read moreFood was great, staff were great but the boss was horrid. There was six of us, we asked to move tables as we didnt want to sit in a booth and the staff put us on table 4. We went and ordered, there was one other person ordering between as who was not with us, when the last couple ordered the waitress asked if that was the last order for table 4. Then we got our entrée very quickly and then we waited nearly an hour for our main meal. I asked the waiter if they forgot us, he came back and said there was a mix up and they are doing our meals now, then my friend went up to get a drink and asked the same question. We got our meals and all was good. Then the boss came over and said what's the problem. We just said that we waited a long time for our meals. The waitress must of said something. We just told him what the waiter said and we had to point him out, then he went of. We were a bit stund as we didn't even complain. Then he came back and said something about ordering 9 minute between us all ordering then he went off again and said something about the wrong table number, it was all cool but his attitude was horrid. We thought he was coming over to just apologize for the mix up. Very disappointed with his attitude, he must of had a bad day. Feel sorry for his staff. We will not be going back to Parafiled Gardens kwik...
Read moreWe visit Quick Stix once a month on average as we enjoy the food, especially the pork fried rice that has become a signature dish to a few people we know as well, however, we went for a 30th birthday there on Tuesday night and every meal come out rushed and half the standard we are used to. The first time I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it come out like tasteless chicken in a broth/soup. The rice was extremely disappointing and was stodgy, all stuck together and had four small pieces of pork in it, so unlike the usual rice we get. What made it worse was us telling everyone who had never tried it before, or been there before, how good it is and everyone’s was the same as ours and stone cold too. My wife and other people on the table said there meals were really average at best as well, so not sure what has happened there lately because in the past the meals were always something to look forward to. Maybe the staff or owners have changed??? I believe Orientai is owned by the same people and the meal we had there 2 weeks ago was unbelievably good, even though we had to wait a long time. Our friends had the teriyaki chicken which I tried a piece of and it was amazing which is why I ordered it last night and I ended up with a bowl of soup. Hopefully they get their act together after the Reno’s they are supposed to...
