I arrived at the store to collect a very simple doordash order. 4x hashbrowns and two Bacon and eggs. For breakfast time, this should take no longer than a few minutes as it's expected that all these things should be ready to go. I Arrive and go to counter, I was ignored for around 5 mins before getting a workers attention. She told me it would be a couple minutes while they finished packing the order. I stood back and watched as they handed out 3 front counter orders and around 8-10 cars in Drive thru. 20 minutes later and still nothing. I then asked the girl at the front what's taking so long and she checked with the manager and apparently they were now waiting on egg. I explained that that is unbelievable and quite ridiculous considering I'd already waited 20 mins on what I was told would be 2-3 minutes. Eventually after another 10 minutes, the manager brought the food and the lovely girl at the front packed it for me. I asked the manager why it would take so long and he said its busy. I explained that orders should be completed in the order they are received. Nobody at a store should wait half an hour at a fast food establishment. He then told me if you don't like waiting then get out. I couldn't catch his name because he was muttering and walked off when I asked his name but it was something like veet. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and should quite obviously not be left alone to run a store. The poor girl at the front didn't know his name as she had just transferred to the store. I hope your store manager takes action as I quite regularly experience extremely long wait times at this store. Port adelaide has never ever had a longer wait then 10 minutes. Read moreMaccas is always touch and go which is honestly disappointing considering it's a world renowned brand. For a brand that's known globally, it really boils down to the franchise location, the staff members and the way that franchise location is run as to wether you'll encounter good service and quality food.
If you hear to maccas in the morning you'll notice that the staff are prone to taking longer to prepare food yet somehow the food comes out looking like it's thrown together. Staff members are very melancholy or even "short" with customers and if you're ordering from the cafe are more likely to burn your coffee.
Midday rush is exactly that. There's no time for personal service, the customer service is dismal, the food is sloppy and I can guarantee you that your order will be wrong in some-shape or form.
Dinner time is no better, dispite it being prime-time for Junior staff there seems to be more issues with customer service over food quality. I'm maccas needs to take the time to teach their staff how to interact with customers within a fast paced setting. That being said, majority of our better interactions have happened during the dinner rush.
Over all if you want nasty takeaway that will warm your carb-craving soul and don't mind awkward interactions with staff members that maccas is the place for you. If your looking for a decent coffee and better customer service id recommend looking at your local cafes and finding one that...
Read moreFirst time visit and will be the last!.. Hate giving out negative reviews but this place clearly needs reviewing ASAP. Order no. 181 - made last night at 6:40pm Saturday 7/10. Waited for over half an hr for our food, asked 3 times during my wait - 1st asked, food wasn’t ready. 2nd asked, they thought order was already handed, within a few minutes after was given the wrong order. 3rd asked - that’s when they realised our food order have been sitting on back counter for at least 15-20mins. Food was lukewarm to cold and some missing burgers when handed over. 7:15pm Manager then asked if we wanted our order to be redone - we couldn’t wait any longer as had to leave for an event at 7:30pm.
Store been focusing on Drive thru & UberEats orders and disregarding Dine in customers. Previous customer also waited for approx 20mins on her order (couple burgers and drinks) - she also complained to both managers on site.
Lack of communication, poor management. Clearly this store needs reviewing ASAP, especially for a Saturday night shift. Store is a mess- avoid if possible! If I knew there was this many complaints about this place I would’ve avoided here altogether. Definitely wouldn’t be coming back!
