My Husband and I stopped through here today just to grab something to eat as we explored the Semaphore/Port Adelaide and Outer Harbour area.
The Atmosphere in here was so good, the music was very much "dance music" and it was fabulous to just sit in the retro chairs and enjoy the very aesthetic space that Mr Pilgrim Cafe has to offer.
We got a serve of their Pumpkin and Feta salad and their Wingettes with Chips. The Hot chips are so awesomely seasoned, they are by far the best I have had in a while and a top 3 chip for me. The salad was packed with all the good stuff and both of us really enjoyed it.
Also tried their on tap sparkling lemonade and it was really refreshing! I am always concerned that all natural drinks these days can be a little bit vinegary like a bad kombucha. But, this was a really fresh and not too sour or sugary lemonade. Definitely coming back for more!
Their service was really lovely and I really appreciate their staff for being friendly and patient as I was a little spaced out when I ordered.
Thank you for a lovely space to hang...
Read moreBeen to Pilgrim many times. Always disliked the music which is very irritating and sort of inappropriate for a cafe. But that didn't stop us coming because the food was ok and the coffee good. Over the last few weeks it's deteriorated in many ways namely; 1. Twice my family came and there was no food at around 11.30am. 2. My brother and I came for lunch as we do at least 3 times a week. The food was taking very long to come out, just toasted sandwiches. We finished our coffees and reminded the waitress that we ordered food some 20 minutes ago. Her reply was that, "we do have other customers you know, we're very busy". 3. Barista is very cold and never looks happy. Surely he must recognise us as we've been to the store at least 20 times in 3 months, but never says hello or goodbye or even thanks for coming. We've now stopped...
Read moreWe went here during the week for brunch. Had the vego breakfast, which was ok. Luckily, I got a side of hashbrowns that were delicious but very oily. They looked like they were made in a sheet pan and then cut into half a slice of bread sized. There wasn't much for my toddler who ended up just eating a chocolate chip cookie, which tasted just like the Byron Bay cookies. The place was queit and I didn't have to wait long to order. I had to be careful where we sat because they had retro vinyl chairs, which were cracked and peeling. The decor is really all over the place with industrial front, black subway tiles, chipped walls exposing brick and old doors lining the walls. The only pilgrim vibe I got was the small nook that housed some small glass vases with...
