I, personally, am not one for criticising Oporto as the meals served are incredibly well cooked, seasoned and sized.
However, I just recently purchased a Bondi Burger combo and was looking forward to the deliciously marinated chicken and beautifully seasoned chips, but ended up disappointed to find that it had been struck by good old "shrinkflation"... (search it up if unaware).
The once separately packaged, Bondi burger combo, has now been crammed into a small, 'all in one' box, and the burger has definitely shrunk in size... The usually generous offering of chips has become a small handful just thrown into the box, whilst the burger barely takes up any room... This isn't the awesomely generous, flavour filled Oporto...
Read morePaid about $16 for quarter chicken which was very small. Must have been a tiny chicken. Some rice which was microwaved and heated more in some parts than others, some spongey pita and a supermarket type of garlic sauce which was thick and not really edible. And a soft drink.
But the service was the worst part. I haven't been to Oporto before so I wanted to ask what the options were but I hardly got a response, just finger pointing to a menu here or flyer there. It wasn't busy either and the girl who was serving me did speak English but I felt as though she didn't want to be there and I was annoying her. I asked maybe 3 questions.
