Trouble and Strife has been on the breakfast recommendation list for far too long and today we finally got there, while I ordered the almond porridge with peaches and a blood orange sauce topped off with a friendly dollop of yoghurt my partner in crime ordered the Green Eggs with added bacon and avocado. We were greeted by the very friendly and helpful staff who had us seated in no time, inside and away from the rain. The porridge was one of the creamiest I've ever had with the perfect amount of yoghurt and the pistachios on top giving that great amount of crunch not overly sweet and perfectly filling. The coffee is also worth a mention as it was amazing and you also have the choice of a cold brew. Absolutely recommend adding it to your list as you won't be disappointed!

Small with limited tables/seating. Not stylish or even very clean and tidy looking. No menus which I don’t like, especially when the menu is written on the walls and is then obscured with people waiting for their coffee take aways. Eventual table service, and they were not busy. Average coffee. I had looked at the menu online and the Mexican Benny looked good, but didn’t deliver. Way too much on the plate. And WAY too much coriander, and despite all the potentially flavourful elements that were promised it was strangely quite bland. Sasha had the BLT add halloumi and avocado (so a $22 sandwich). She said it was good.

This joint is great. Made even better by the recent construction work to Goodwood road to really spruce things up. The coffee here is legit - the right amount of flavour and oomph to get you going in the morning. The food selection is perfect for a small spot like this and is always enjoyable. The staff are super chilled and food to deal with. After writing this I’m thinking I’ll grab a coffee here in the morning!

Yeah OKAY! Lemme tell you! Firstly, incredible food. My favourite is this fresh chickpea smash thingy on yummy bread (my deepest apologies, I cannot remember the correct name). Truly, love me some of that. Oh man, it's like there's a party in my mouth and everyone's invited.

Wonderfully attentive and friendly service. For example, I had to explain a few times of ordering this meal that I can't manage to cut through the toasted bread with the butter knife that was given to me (Apparently I have the hand strength of a small child.) so I had to ask for an alike steak knife.. which they don't usually have but sourced one for me to use. From then on they remembered to give me that said knife without me asking for it. Now that's service. I am blessed.

There is a calm and enjoyable environment to the joint. Being a smaller space, it enables you to listen in to those conversations around you.. But in all seriousness, it's not too overwhelming for the overly sensitive/easily over stimulated. However, need to factor in, it is close to a main road (Goodwood Rd) and the coffee machine sometimes makes a screaming noise but other than that,...
