Worst meal I've ever tried to have but couldn't eat it as it was thrown together like something you might find in the trash.
I was told that now they have been under new management so i went out of curiosity and was amazed at the difference in all aspects and my respect to the new management for making a change to get the customer back into which is now redeemed the restaurant to a very high quality restaurant that it's previous owner nearly destroyed in a way that i thought was disappointing for all the patrons the last time. I visited the previous owner as his bar and serving staff were super friendly however when i visited him, instead of having a conversation about his cooking and the ingredients of his dishes were inedible to which one person with me nearly had her breathing stopped because she had a bit of calamari that was not cooked properly and when i had to stand up to help her unlodge the seafood it was luckily spat out and the thing bounced across the floor of the establishment. Not any more as the new owner has been doing the impossible for making the restaurant have a great customer appeal to his and his staff a complete turnaround for the better, which is a hard task for all the staff to bring back to the Elizabeth centre a lovely place for a meal and if you have any guests you don't have to have a meal which you would have to apologise for the restaurant as the previous owner would be in your face saying that everyone is crazy and was rude and i was actually restrained from me using violence upon the lunatic that should never have been able to be with the public for which i was so happy with that creep no longer able to upset customer's and his staff who said he is not worth maybe hurting my fists over. Now that saga is over now and i had a meal fit for a man who knows good food and good people serving the customer with the respect they deserve to which the respect is reciprocated by the patrons who spend their money on now having a pleasant and relaxing time. That's why we go to good places to enjoy our time and don't worry about the money when you feel that you matter to the business. GREAT WORK AND RESPECT TO THE...
Read moreThe restaurant was very clean, which is expected but also appreciated. I made my way to the counter and ordering was very easy; menu inquiries were swiftly answered to. Quality of service and speed of preparation were more than exceptional. I ordered their $10 meal~ mine consisted of a chicken burger with a very generous amount of toppings, as well as a serving of chunky fries. It was received not even 5 minutes after ordering, rivalling fast food chains.
My only complaint, and the reason for the lesser review of 4 stars, is that I had been placed next to a woman of whom, I believed, is part of Shcnithouse's management. Anyhow, the maintained the vernacular of a sailor by constantly cursing in conversation whilst on the phone as well as with other staff members. She complained to them that a woman had brought a shopping cart into the establishment despite a disclaimer being clearly visible on the entry door.
The thing which really bothered me was that during the last 10 minutes of my visit, instead of having reminded the woman of the restaurant's policy previously she was still in the restaurant for about 5 minutes following my arrival she did nothing but bag her. I get it, she technically broke obvious policy. But how would you feel if someone cursed and berated you without you knowing, especially if it came from someone you essentially gave money to?
Anyhow, to summarise: Despite the one mishap which occurred, I would highly recommend Schnithouse Elizabeth to anybody who has an appetite for great food at arguably competitive prices and wait times.
EDIT: if any clarification could be given, of if I am simply mistaken regarding the mouthy individual, I will happily give the review an extra star. 'Til...
Read moreWent to dinner tonight with my husband, I had booked our reservation for 6.30pm, we rock up at 6.20 to be told that they couldn't find our reservation. I had to show the guy at the door my confirmation text. We were then shown a table in a half arsed manner with little to zero dialogue from the guy. He shoved the menus into my hand and walked off.
After choosing what my husband and I would like to eat, I went up to order. I was informed that there was no beer at all (this is a Friday night mind you) I then went to order the hotdog, but was told there were no hot dogs left, so i ordered the sliders, the young lady had to double check to see if they still had sliders.
After ordering out food and waiting, it arrived. My husbands food was not what he ordered but he didn't want to cause a fuss. However, my sliders came out and this is where the huge issue is. The chips had to come out separately, which is bizarre. But the 3 little sliders were atrocious. The first one was ok, u sure of what meat was in it but couldn't complain. The second, pulled pork was STONE COLD, i went to check the temperature of the schnitzel slider and the outside was warmish but the inside was STONE COLD. I went up to the counter to ask the waitress if my sliders were supposed to be cold and she advised "no they are meant to be hot".
They took my food away and gave me a refund as I refused to eat anything else. So I had to watch my husband finish his meal and then leave..
This is the second time visiting this establishment, the first time, the food was beautiful... but after tonight, we won't be back.
This is due to the attitude from the workers plus the inability to cook/serve food...
