If you decide to order takeaway, please don’t walk into the restaurant to order. Order via ubereats and pick up cause it’s much cheaper. And when raised to the staff, their answer was, you are not smart enough to order from Ubereats. Just WOW! 1st class customer service!
And just look at their reply. That shows how much customer means to them. And the matter was not resolved even if we tried to. They just kept brushing us off with excuses and just kept turning to the point that we should have just done an UberEats order. And they told us we can’t cancel the order because the order was already made. Icing on the cake - our full chicken comes without drumsticks! Ordered a full chicken which is definitely not a full chicken. And the reason why your staff was shushed was because he kept interrupting while I was talking. So talking over your customer is right? Raising your voice over the customer while the customer is talking is right? Maybe train your staff how to treat customer first before you put them at the front of house. Don’t worry brother. I will definitely not be returning and will steer clear of your place. As a paying customer, I would not want to be made to feel like I beg for free food from you. Well, you are not the only Afghan shop in Adelaide and the way you treat customers, no one will return a second time. And I will definitely be telling my friends never to step foot in your restaurant if they want to be treated...
Read morePoorly trained and disinterested waiter with a severe attitude problem resulted in the wrong order being brought to the table, then telling us we were the ones who ordered the wrong dishes. We paid for a large platter of meat and were short changed on the amount of meats given. After the order was taken, we were then told they had run out of chicken after paying (early in the evening). What kind of establishment that mainly deals with chicken, suddenly becomes out of ingredients ? We are regulars at the Ghan in Prospect, and would never have this kind of poor experience. Train your staff to have manners, how to take an order and teach your kitchen crew how to season a lamb curry with something other than chilli when they get upset with customers that their wait staff don’t get orders right.
It was a quiet night with 1 other table consisting of a couple with small children. How is it that the same owner establishment that deals with hundreds of people in a night in Prospect can provide top quality and correct service yet a small quiet sister restaurant can’t even get such simple...
Read moreMy southern friends and I visited the Ghan on Thursday night. It has been a long time since we have been there. But nothing has changed.
The decor and service was excellent. The food choices are extensive. The flavours of the food are amazing and we had an outstanding time there.
The tikka lamb is outstanding. Succulent, tender, fat-free lamb with amazing spices, a salad, yoghurt or spicy sauce and Afghani bread. The lamb curry was delightful. The lamb rolls were great and the mixed trio of kebabs was also extremely tasty.
The meal prices are good for the quality of the food presented and the excellent service, ranging from $13 to $28. The serves are not massive, but one would not expect that from such a high quality venue. Given how amazing the food is, this restaurant is a real gem and well worth the visit.
Anyone who complains about the food and their dining experience there has no idea what they are...
