Very pleasant afternoon spent sampling some excellent wines based upon vineyards located inside the urban area of Adelaide. The oldest commercial vineyards inside the boundaries of a suburban centre in the world. Established in 1926 the winery has been producing white, rose, red, sparkling and fortified wines since from grapes sourced from its urban vineyards and surrounding grape producing regions. In recent times they have also produced a very unique Gin which reflects the flavours of Australia and its winery background. At present, Friday night sees a later closing time for the wine bar and tasting experience, musical entertainment and interesting food options. On Saturday and Sunday it is 5pm closing. I recommend the Urban Vineyard Collection sampling experience which, for a very reasonable cost of $20, samples of a white wine, Rosé, two reds, a tawny port, and their muscat gin which are explained and presented to be enjoyed. Some if these wines are somewhat unique in that they are made from grape varieties that do not have a wide distribution within Australian vineyards. A cellar door sales point is also located on site to allow for the purchase of bottle, cask and bulk wines to be taken home for future enjoyment.

Can only speak on the tasting and the wines tried during the experience, but after spending an hour trying a variety of drops and enjoying learning about how Patritti were able to establish themselves in a residential area (answer, it was here first) alongside how their wines are made...we may have enjoyed it so much we walked away with a lot of wine and some seriously big smiles on our faces. Ps. Highly recommend going to the tasting if you're unsure at all. It's a great way to find out what they're all about.

Great cellar door with wonderfully knowledgeable staff. Stopped in one afternoon and tried about 6 of the wines (from a selection of about 50!). The sparking brut is pretty good and at just €7 a bottle it’s an absolute steal. The eden valley Riesling is also pretty good. The place is family owned and they really seem to care about the wines. Definitely stop in!

Booking a tasting and lunch with my friends, we chose Patriti Wines to celebrate our Christmas Lunch. Patriti Wines have a wonderful history and is the only winery with vines in the suburb areas of Adelaide. We began with a tasting and while I prefer reds I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed all the samples I tasted except for their in house Gin. Not a Gin drinker I knew there was enough in the tasting flight to purchase several bottles to take home. We enjoyed a sparkling, rosè, red, red blend, tawny and Gin. For lunch we ordered several dishes to share between the 3 of us. First starting with mixed olives with sourdough bread, served warm. A chicken patè and sourdough toast, which was tasty. We also eventually ordered the duck patè which was incredible in flavour. We nearly purchased another to take home as it was just that good. Our final order was a meat and cheese board with fruit and grilled eggplant. They have a marquee area plus outdoor area with plenty of room and shade to sit. The entertainment on the day was a single performer singing while playing his guitar. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Patriti Wines...
