Clean and comfortable club we were excited to try the food so we ordered steak and chips and lamb shanks with red wine jus. The steak was well cooked infact best medium rare all the way through I've had in a while, sadly both meals stopped there. The chips were stone cold, the red wine jus was a watery mix of something, the beans had pepper over them, no good for my wife who doesn't eat pepper. Best part of the entire experience was the glass of bottled wine. Chips are not difficult to cook, in fact only thing they need to be is hot, such a simple fix!. Shout out to the pepper gravy, it was great!

Good family friendly relaxed atmosphere and the outdoor seating area overlooking the Glenelg oval is quite nice which i think would be even better at night if they turn on the fairy lights. The food is of pretty good quality, generous serves and quite reasonable prices. Kind of brought back memories to be quite honest as I used to go to school next door and quite often used the oval to play sports. 20 odd years ago seems like so long ago😎

My "Seniors" schnitzel at $20 + $4 for mushroom gravy was most disappointing. Schnitzel size was no bigger than the palm of my hand, the mushroom gravy was tasteless and the chips were just below room temperature. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Im in my seventies I rang my ex to catch up for lunch. She was in Adelaide, baby sitting our daughters house & 3 pets, one street back from the Glenelg Football Ground. Ide never been inside, but I had walked my daughters dog 🐕 around the Glenelg ground via the rear st entrance. People; groundsmen people kicking footballs.. beautiful place. A table had been booked. We walked via the dog path and entered the ground walking a section of the perimeter. Gosh it was nice, and when we reached the Bistro there were two areas, one outside with umbrellas 🌂 [It was empty this cold day] Gosh inside was cosy 3/4 full on a friday (we had booked in advance) the service was great, so was the menu The meals we chose were very good and the prices very reasonable. P.S coming back to the club (to pick up the hat, I had left behind the GPS took me into the carpark on the Brighton Rd side of the ground, the carpark was a choc a block area of Bitumen full of cars. SO, if I was to go again, I would always park in a street at the back, on a 'weekday' walking around the grass. It puts you in the perfect mood for a pleasant experience and sets up the day. PPS we had a...

Food was brilliant but being a greedy fatty I could have done with a bigger portion size. However my wife was very happy with her portion size and in fact found it too much to eat so I happily polished that one off as well. Also brilliant are the bar staff and they always have been. But I'm not one for a big head on my pints, something I've noticed has been creeping in over my most recent visits. When in Bavaria at the Oktoberfest, a big head yes. At the Glenelg Footy club, no. And guys, the food menu plastered on the toilet wall directly over the men's urinal. What are you thinking??? Is this a joke? In all my sixty years and having travelled around the world, I've never seen this. Remember this is the Glenelg Football Club, not the Port Adelaide...

I had a Chicken Parmigiana and it was quite well proportioned. But my friend ordered the same but with gravy and only got half the amount of chips I received. We also ordered 6 kids meals. 4x cheese burgers and 2x Chicken Schnitzel. Every one of them came with a different amount of chips. 1 plate came with only 5 chips. Another friend bought the corned beef and mentioned that if it didn't have the sauce he wouldn't have eaten it as he thought it was over boiled and had no taste. As usual we got all the kids meals first and a few minutes later 3x adults meal and then a good 4 to 5 min later the remaining 2 meals.

Over all a little bit disappointing. If we didn't have have good company it would have been quite a...
