Im in my seventies I rang my ex to catch up for lunch. She was in Adelaide, baby sitting our daughters house & 3 pets, one street back from the Glenelg Football Ground. Ide never been inside, but I had walked my daughters dog 🐕 around the Glenelg ground via the rear st entrance. People; groundsmen people kicking footballs.. beautiful place. A table had been booked. We walked via the dog path and entered the ground walking a section of the perimeter. Gosh it was nice, and when we reached the Bistro there were two areas, one outside with umbrellas 🌂 [It was empty this cold day] Gosh inside was cosy 3/4 full on a friday (we had booked in advance) the service was great, so was the menu The meals we chose were very good and the prices very reasonable. P.S coming back to the club (to pick up the hat, I had left behind the GPS took me into the carpark on the Brighton Rd side of the ground, the carpark was a choc a block area of Bitumen full of cars. Read moreFood was brilliant but being a greedy fatty I could have done with a bigger portion size. However my wife was very happy with her portion size and in fact found it too much to eat so I happily polished that one off as well. Also brilliant are the bar staff and they always have been. And guys, the food menu plastered on the toilet wall directly over the men's urinal. What are you thinking??? Is this a joke? In all my sixty years and having travelled around the world, I've never seen this. Remember this is the Glenelg Football Club, not the Port Adelaide...
Read moreI had a Chicken Parmigiana and it was quite well proportioned. But my friend ordered the same but with gravy and only got half the amount of chips I received. We also ordered 6 kids meals. 4x cheese burgers and 2x Chicken Schnitzel. Every one of them came with a different amount of chips. 1 plate came with only 5 chips. Another friend bought the corned beef and mentioned that if it didn't have the sauce he wouldn't have eaten it as he thought it was over boiled and had no taste. As usual we got all the kids meals first and a few minutes later 3x adults meal and then a good 4 to 5 min later the remaining 2 meals.
Over all a little bit disappointing. If we didn't have have good company it would have been quite a...
