Having eaten much Turkish food in Istanbul, Melbourne and Sydney, unfortunately this place was a quite disappointing. I believe it’s one of few Turkish restaurants in Adelaide (if not the only one?) so understandably there’s not much to compare it with. I think we can all agree that Turkish cuisine is amazing! The dips were my favourite - they gave us a lot of options and I loved trying all the different flavours. The vegetables and pilaf for the mains were cooked well. This is why I didn’t give 1 or 2 stars for food.

However, when I pay a lot of money to a Turkish grill place I expect the meat to be phenomenal. And sadly I was not happy with the mixed grill plate I ordered - especially the meatballs (I see someone else commented on this previously as well). They were a weird grey colour (ie not brown) and the texture was blobby and absolutely weird. Tbh, I found them inedible. I had one bite and left the rest. It seemed like they used prepackaged /canned meat or something instead of proper mince. Or perhaps they over processed AND over cooked them. Honestly I can make better meatballs at home with Coles mince as a non Turkish. The chicken was over cooked and the lamb was just ok.

The service was ok, the girls were nice enough but it was nothing special.

The vibe was also a bit basic - we were surrounding in those cheesy mosaic tiles/lamps… ok so we’re not in actual Turkey, but it felt very cliched. Having said that, there were lots of people having a good time at the restaurant. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not trying to be nasty at all, just trying to give genuine feedback about my experience.. Please check the cook on the meat and change the meatballs!

And look, it was fairly expensive for the portions as well.. Maybe Glenelg (being close to beach) has expensive commercial leases but I’ve paid less at places where the meat is absolutely beautiful every time and the menus have a LOT more on it, and bigger portions. Sorry to give negative feedback but the meat was probably the worst Turkish food I’ve eaten,...

The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were all friendly and attentive. Family owned business.

The menu at The Ottoman Grill is impressive, with a wide range of options to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for some delicious meat skewers or some tasty vegetarian dishes, there's something for everyone. And don't forget to try their famous Turkish coffee - it's the perfect way to end a delicious meal.

One of the things that sets The Ottoman Grill apart is their commitment to using fresh and high-quality ingredients. Every dish is cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. It's clear that the chefs take great pride in their work and are passionate about creating delicious meals for their guests.

The atmosphere at The Ottoman Grill is also fantastic. The decor is beautiful and the ambiance is warm and inviting. Whether you're looking for a romantic night out or a fun evening with friends, The Ottoman Grill is the perfect spot.

Overall, I highly recommend The Ottoman Grill to anyone looking for a delicious dining experience. The food is incredible, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is just right. Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant - it's definitely...

Service is avarage they could smile more. Not enough quantity of food and overpriced small portion customer service not very good sorry but I cannot suggest this restaurant I will not return anymore. Overrated and overpriced for a small portion of food I left that place hungry never happened before. Food is nice but nothing to special they do not bring bread at the table unless you order and pay dip are spread on the plate and the serve is about a spoon or two not enough food. The man serving the food looked unhappy and unfriendly never smiled I should have trusted the review saying not enough food for that price. Suggestion:smile more do not stir at client and accept people request without being surprise client is always right serve more bread and rice rice does not cost much, presentation was good flavour was not really inviting. Drinks expensive glass of wine $10 $44fpr a bottle served in a big glass not sure how much wine was there..... expensive small serve of meat too small....

What a hidden gem this place is! The food was superb and the service was excellent. We booked for six adults and turned up with an extra adult in a mobility scooter and a toddler needing a high chair. Staff happily assisted with making space for the scooter even though it was large and cumbersome. And the highchair came out as soon as we mentioned it. On to the food, we chose the banquet and everything was delicious. I have to say the chicken skewers were incredible, juicy meat but crisp on the outside and bursting with flavour. We finished with the baklava which looked fantastic and tasted amazing. This place is so good our family will definitely be coming back to sample some of the other dishes on the menu even though we live 40 mins away. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

We came for a birthday and absolutely loved the food and the hospitality. The hospitality was exceptional, from the moment you walk in you’re greeted and treated warmly. It was a beautiful restaurant with wonderful colours and intricate patterns on their plates. Now to the food, we loved every bit from the beginning which was dips and fresh Turkish bread with incredibly yummy dips to the mains, which consisted of grilled meats and delicious grilled vegetables and rice to the beautiful baklava desserts. Everything was exceptional and we’d definitely be back. Thank you for having us.

I read someone in the reviews wrote it is not authentic Turkish taste, as someone who spent half of his life eating turkish food, I can say the taste was super authentic, spices and salad, kusbasi pide was 10 out of 10. The only difference was serving size which you can always order more if you want to. The gentleman there I think his name was Omer, is a very passionate chef, knows turkish taste and international serving. He also served a good McLaren vale Shiraz. I felt I'm in Istanbul or Cappadocia or even Hatay. Will definitely go there again.
