Glenegl BBQ Inn – A Hidden Gem Worth the Calories 🔥🥩 We checked out Glengl BBQ Inn on a local friend’s recommendation — and what a find! This unassuming steakhouse absolutely delivers. We ordered the T-bone and Porterhouse steaks, both generously portioned and served with a house salad, house bread, and a side of crispy chips. Surprise standout? The bread — it’s served cold, but somehow still incredibly fluffy. Totally unexpected! Chips were perfectly crunchy, and the steaks? Great quality, juicy, and value for money. The vibe is very casual — think local, laid-back, no-fuss — but that’s part of the charm. Chill atmosphere, good service. Honestly, we don’t even want to share this place… it’s already busy enough 😅. But if you’re after a hearty, affordable steak and a no-frills good time, this is a spot you’ll want to keep in your back pocket.

🔥 Had an amazing meal at @glenelgbbqinn in Adelaide. If you’re craving perfectly grilled steaks and classic BBQ dishes, this is the place to go. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is super friendly—feels like home! The steaks are tender, juicy, and packed with char grilled flavour, and the sides are the perfect complement. Ideal for a casual night out or a big family gathering. It's definitely a must-try if you’re in Glenelg! 🍖🍷 Low-key garlic bread is elite 😋 🍞

We went there on a recommendation from my Mum who used to eat there when they were in Adelaide many years ago. Was definitely worth a visit! The staff are delightful! The meal was lovely, steak cooked just as we like it and those little Chevapchichi were a delicious addition! And I can't forget the bread...omg! Soft and fluffy! All in all, an enjoyable experience, thank you!

A disappointing experience despite great food We have always loved this restaurant for its delicious food, making it our top choice for special occasions. However, our last visit left us quite disappointed. Last Friday, I invited my best friend, who recently suffered a stroke and now has limited mobility—she cannot move her left arm. To make her dining experience easier, we kindly asked the waiter to relay a simple request to the chef: to help cut her steak so she could enjoy her meal without difficulty. Unfortunately, the waiter responded quite rudely and told us that it was not possible. We were shocked by the lack of empathy and willingness to accommodate a basic request that would have made a big difference for my friend. A restaurant should not only be defined by its food but also by the quality of its service, and in this regard, it failed us. We hope the management takes this into account, as accessibility and kindness should always be a priority in the...

It's hard to beat a good steak - especially over charcoal.

The value on offer is excellent - I ordered a Texas T-Bone which was 850g and it was an epic piece of meat. Honestly it's hard to find steaks this size that aren't a Tomahawk advertised as 850-1kg with 300g of bone and a $200 price tag to boot! This one was the real deal if you want a very thick, very big steak. Well seasoned and at the bone was a perfect medium rare. Great char flavour - Mushroom gravy was a good compliment and next time I would get the garlic butter as well as I regretted not grabbing that whilst eating.

I got an extra sausage (Kobasice) which was a great mix of meat and herb flavours - not dry - tasty. The steak comes with two mini chevaps which were meaty, fatty, morsels. Chips and salad were as good as chips and salad get.

Service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back - make sure you book ahead to avoid...

I had the privlidge of dining here for the first time recently on the recommendation of a loyal customer who has dined here for many years, since he was young. First impressons - busy, humble space, very accommodating and there's a lot of lovely cuts of meat on the menu. The decor is a bit dated, but nostalgic. Decor doesnt really matter when your receiving friendly service and freshly cooked food. I have to admit, the standard side salad is so simple and lack lustre in appeal at first, and nothing insta worthy, but once you taste it, its delicious and so complimentary to your protein of choice. Perfect.

That's the food review. Ladies, this is a very heavily male dominated venue, but let me tell you, i was one of 4 female diners, but looking around, the whole restaurant was full of friends and family sharing good food, good convo, wine and banter....
