I recently had the pleasure of visiting "The Port Anchor Hotel," specifically the gaming pokie bar, and I must say, it was an incredibly engaging experience. The moment I stepped into the pokie room, I was greeted by a sense of excitement that permeated the air. The room itself was immaculately clean, creating an inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The array of gaming machines was truly impressive, each one carefully selected to offer a diverse and entertaining range of options. As I tried my luck at the pokies, I found myself captivated by the seamless gameplay and the thrill of each spin. The machines were well-maintained and operated flawlessly, enhancing my overall enjoyment. What truly set "The Port Anchor Hotel" apart, however, was the exceptional staff. The team members were not only knowledgeable about the machines and games, but they also exuded a genuine warmth and enthusiasm that made my experience truly memorable. Whether it was offering helpful tips or simply engaging in friendly conversation, their presence added an extra layer of enjoyment to my time at the pokie bar. In summary, my visit to "The Port Anchor Hotel" gaming pokie bar was a delightful and captivating adventure. The excellent pokie room, combined with the cleanliness, quality machines, and the welcoming staff, created an environment that was both inviting and exciting. Whether you're a seasoned pokie enthusiast or a newcomer looking for a memorable experience, I highly recommend giving "The Port Anchor Hotel" a visit.

Absolutely appalling customer service from one particular guy doesn’t have communication skills doesn’t greet anybody he isn’t so nice he gives off rude vibes slams the cup when I asked for water and gave me an attitude, incident with toilet door got walked in on when it was locked and the door on the outside wasn’t working the man was aware and didn’t care when I had mentioned the incident he said completely nothing non apologetic very rude and doesn’t greet people only certain persons of a certain “ethnicity” hmmm also had mentioned how unclean the toilets were and didn’t care he seems in incompetent of his job! NOT HAPPY

It is a local pub with relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Dishes are classic pub fare, perfectly prepared. Good value, too. Edit: Returned again for a 3 generation family lunch. We had excellent service and everyone was happy with the meals. The squid schnitzel was the favourite (and one of the reasons we booked in there). What looks like a modern building is actually quite old and was known as the Kent Hotel. It was modernised into an Art Deco building and a staircase still remains from that era. There are photos on the walls documenting how this hotel changed with the times.

We find this Hotel cuisine very good and is better than places one will pay a lot more, but get a lower standard of food served. The Anchor offers a great menu selection, always fresh and prepared and cooked by Master Chef Hok, whom I believe is of Malaysian heritage. He is very good and is very friendly and will give one the time to chat if he is finishing off from his shift (work). The Amchor offers steaming hot mixture of vegetables, potato bake, caulie flour in cheese sauce, fresh roated potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, and a mixture of other green vegetables, brocoli, beans, peas, corn, you name it, along with an extensive cold salad style accompaniments if one do chooses to.go with the meal you order. Well worth the small cost for good wholesome cuisine. The staff are friendly and helpful and the waiting time is minimal. The place is always full of folks of all ages when we go there, but I feel they dhould stay open for their meals till about 9:pm so that if we are late getting there, at least we can get served up until that time. Other wise we feel rushed when we get there and they start the clearing the bay maries away and quite often miss out on the extra food that we entitled to, meaning that they serve you, get your money, bring your order and are virtually hinting for one to hurry up and get out. We end up rushing to get done. Other wise if you are used to eating earlier, then this pkace is highly recommended. The food is grest and very reasonably priced. The drinks are the average price and they have a extensive drink list and choice. We...
