OK, now this was a surprise. Decided to pop in for lunch as we always drive past. Well, could not be happier. Every staff member were full of smiles and engaging conversation. They constantly checked on us and our food and drinks. The menu was simple so food is cooked very well not like pubs with six pages of menu items. I would only recommend another type of steak is included apart from the rump steak that was the only option. Food came out quickly. Started with Oysters Kilpatrick. So tasty. The barramundi was very nicely cooked. I had the garfish 'Tuesday special' that did not disappoint. Tried one to be battered and the other crumbed. The salad was really fresh and tasty. Always look on the back of the menu for what specials are on 🙂 The venue itself is a beautiful rustic hotel with lots of art on the walls supporting local businesses and Semaphore artists. Carpark was crowded due to the local govt and businesses in the area that impacts available spots for the pub.

First time here and was about 7:40pm ish, staff was friendly and welcoming, we asked about dinner option and they kindly informed us that the kitchen closes at 8pm, but we could still get something... We went with suggested option of fish which also comes with a drink. We had crumbed fish which came out promptly, the fish was succulent, the little side salad was fresh and delicious with a nice dressing. The Dinning room setting was nicely presented and has a pleasing quality about it with the little fairy lights draped around the windows. Will be planning to come back and try something from the menu when not rushed. 😏

Great atmosphere, incredible inside, there is many different areas to dine in like a lounge area, more casual area or even fine dine area along with friendly staff, great service and food came out fast as well and it was delicious. We came on a Monday and they had schnitzel day which was a great deal. We got choice of beef or chicken snizel with chips, salad, gravy & a drink for only $20. Also love how they try to support other small businesses at the same time like they had paintings inside the pub which you could buy as well. Love that supporting each other especially through tough times.

So sad and disappointed. Heard from lots...top schnitzels. It was dry, grizzly, tough and tasteless. Could tell by how dark the crumbs were it was cooked too long. Staff avoided us as could see only salad and taste of schnitzel taken. Won't ever go back. Even latte was served barely warm. When people go out for a meal they expect better than what is prepared at home. Sad to say it didn't even come close. I used to work at the British some time ago. Although a much nicer looking establishment these days, food a lot better then.

Have past this hotel many time on my venture over the Birkenhead bridge and my wife and I finally ventured inside for lunch. The place is amazing with plenty lf room for dining, bars to drink at and it even has its own Art gallery down stairs and its own private function room. The service was fantastic, the lady was very polite, welcoming and very helpful when it came to ordering. The atmosphere was great and the food was well priced and delicious. Tip: they are in the entertainment book so be sure to check them out.

It was really beautiful, and really good food. I hardly ever finish my plate when I go out to eat but it was so good I had to! There was a large group in the main bar area so the staff sat us in a different room despite it being closed so we wouldn't be too disturbed. Staff were nice and answered questions and felt with our indesisiveness well haha Food and drinks also came to us very quickly! Would totally recommend to everyone who wants good food and service :)
