Our group has a tradition of coming here, so it was disappointing to have an average experience.

The kids nuggets and chips took almost 40 min to come out, which left us dealing with cranky hungry kids. All the meals took too long, which was weird because it was not busy.

The dining area was way overheated to sauna levels, it was uncomfortable.

The schnitzel tasted nice but it was the smallest serve I’ve ever had, like an entree portion. I guess the cost was quite cheap at $22 but I had to eat toast when I got home after! Also the pepper sauce was terrible, consistency of water instead of a thick gravy you get everywhere else - and you charged me $3 extra for that? Get real.

There were a bunch of flies crawling over everything - I guess this is hard to manage but how? Why? It is winter!

The menu is looking really tired and very limited, needs a refresh badly.

With so much competition in the area (e.g. Birkenhead, Port Admiral etc.) the British needs to lift its game a bit unfortunately. Staff are really...

OK, now this was a surprise. Decided to pop in for lunch as we always drive past. Well, could not be happier.

Every staff member were full of smiles and engaging conversation. They constantly checked on us and our food and drinks.

The menu was simple so food is cooked very well not like pubs with six pages of menu items. I would only recommend another type of steak is included apart from the rump steak that was the only option.

Food came out quickly. Started with Oysters Kilpatrick. So tasty. The barramundi was very nicely cooked. I had the garfish 'Tuesday special' that did not disappoint. Tried one to be battered and the other crumbed. The salad was really fresh and tasty. Always look on the back of the menu for what specials are on 🙂

The venue itself is a beautiful rustic hotel with lots of art on the walls supporting local businesses and Semaphore artists.

Carpark was crowded due to the local govt and businesses in the area that impacts available spots...

First time here, not the greatest of experiences due to a variety of factors but willing to return and hope the next experience is better.

Some oysters had a bit of a funky smell to them, which the manager happily replaced at no cost.

Grilled garfish was very undercooked, almost to the point it was straight out of the ocean.. maybe a couple minutes more on the grill would’ve been satisfactory.

Manager was a great help however some of the younger wait staff got quite hostile when we raised our complaints. I understand they were short staffed and probably feeling the pressure however not really an excuse for hostility. one complaint about the oyster odour was met with “oh sorry I’m not sure” and she walked off. After raising our complaints the quality of service dropped from everyone apart from the manager who was understanding and helped to the best of his abilities.

May have just been a bad night to attend, will give it another go soon and hopefully a...

First time here and was about 7:40pm ish, staff was friendly and welcoming, we asked about dinner option and they kindly informed us that the kitchen closes at 8pm, but we could still get something... We went with suggested option of fish which also comes with a drink. We had crumbed fish which came out promptly, the fish was succulent, the little side salad was fresh and delicious with a nice dressing. The Dinning room setting was nicely presented and has a pleasing quality about it with the little fairy lights draped around the windows. Will be planning to come back and try something from the menu when not rushed. 😏

Great atmosphere, incredible inside, there is many different areas to dine in like a lounge area, more casual area or even fine dine area along with friendly staff, great service and food came out fast as well and it was delicious. We came on a Monday and they had schnitzel day which was a great deal. We got choice of beef or chicken snizel with chips, salad, gravy & a drink for only $20. Also love how they try to support other small businesses at the same time like they had paintings inside the pub which you could buy as well. Love that supporting each other especially through tough times.
