Went to the Watermark International Buffet yesterday and to say the least it was an interesting experience. For it to be called 'International' there was surprisingly little variety. The cleanliness of the restaurant was mixed with the servers always keeping tables clean, plates were usually fresh although not all as some plates still were dirty. Service was normally good also except they were taking people unfinished food without saying anything and leaving their finished food. Drinks were all amazing with staff providing bottles of water for the table and unlimited hot drinks included as well as a soft drink machine. Food quality was average, some foods amazing and some foods not good at all, an example of the bad is the garlic bread. We had was burnt and when we got a new piece it was hardly garlic bread. It looked and tasted like regular bread with small amounts garlic spread on top, very disappointing. The Desert bar was also pretty impressive, it does sound better in reviews but they had a decent amount of food that tasted amazing with great presentation. Overall i do still give the restaurant 4/5 stars as the things that weren't impressive were still forgivable and i was impressed by the experience even though it did not live up to my expectations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. After all, it’s a buffet😋😋😋. So, the food is really yummmm. As it still’s last on my taste buds. Definitely if you are looking to have a good time with all of your family members do visit this place. Just a note here that the food is all you can eat till it lasts. However, drinks will be charged so depending on it you can just grab your plates and get going. It was delightful experience and thank you all for having us there. Taste - Great with most of the dishes that were their for the servings.😋 Money - Good in budget as its a buffet and depends how much you can have😅 Ambience - Good and enough place for people to sit with their loved ones to have a great time.🥳

Went especially for the Wood fired Octopus on the menu. From the moment we walked into a virtually empty bar at 5pm we were greeted with attitude and substandard service. I stood - the only person at the counter for over 5 mins while the staff were celebrating wearing shorts to work and completely ignored me until the chef came past and asked if I needed service. I ordered the octopus and my cutlery and table number was basically thrown at me because I’d interrupted her conversation with her colleague. After a long wait, salt and pepper squid was bought out - clearly not what was ordered. When this was pointed out we received another serve of attitude from the same waitress who took my order even though it was not what I asked for and she stuffed up the order. 10mins later I’m served half warmed chorizo with squid tubes and rocket smothered in pesto. It was disgusting. I was horrified. Jar pesto with squid rings, half cold chorizo and rocket for $28 when the menu price was $21. (Entree) We got up and left and will not be coming back ever. Save your money for somewhere that gives you exactly what you ask for without the bad attitude and abysmal service. I’d say lift your game but I don’t think that’s ever going to happen. Avoid at all costs.

A bit of seasoning would do this place well. I understand you have to cater to a variety of tastes, but I found lots of things bland which is sad for food wastage. Put some herbs on things. Salt. Pepper. Have more options for patrons to customise foods if you prefer. I ended up putting some sauce from chilli seafood left in my muscle shell onto the satay so it was better, but this is a visual representation of what I served myself and then actually ate. Pork crackling needed some salt, just tasted of pure fat. Mash potatoes definitely tasted basically like Deb mix. Baked fish was too dry and didn't seem to have any flavourings? Cous cous salad would have been way more edible with parsley and salt. Did I miss the salad dressing station or do you just think coleslaw is plain shredded cabbage and carrot? Most other people at my table also complaining it was bland, and these are people who like it bland 😅 The lamb shanks were nice and tender and you don't see that or the range of seafood too often at a buffet these days. From what I had nothing was overcooked or undercooked.

This is a case of quality vs quantity. There are prob about 30 dishes or more but only 5 passed the taste quality: chicken korma with papadams, creamy mushroom soup, sweet and sour pork, Hawaiian pizza and lamb shank. The rest are just poor preparation. The roast pork and beef felt like eating carton boxes, it was overcooked and dry and the sauces didn't help either. I tried their dim sum and I almost puked because I really don't know what they put in there, it was revolting. However for dessert, they do have a good selection of fruits, good sticky pudding, soft serve ice cream and that coffee is pretty good. I hope they will learn to improve their main dishes in the future.

Great food, friendly staff and quality service. The buffet is one of the best in Adelaide, plenty of variety wirh great selection of freshly made Asian, European, seafood, pasta and all the comfor food you could think of. Including a lovely deserts bar! A little bit pricey, but the food is top quality. Reservations are highly recommend. Good sized eating area, buffet and floor space for wheelchair access. Kids play area with video games and bottomless soft drinks machine. Other beverages are available at the bar, but also pricey at $4 for a medium glass of soft drink. Have had several birthdays and gatherings there, would love it if they were more affordable though.
