The whole place seemed unorganised as soon as we arrived. Our table wasn’t set up, it took a long time and several attempts to flag down someone to get menus and table water and then the drink order (large selection of gin but over priced, limited selection of wine and not many local options at all) took a really long time to be delivered to the table. Hardly any staff we wearing masks, and those that were had them down around their chin. We had to request to move tables because a DJ set up and the music was so loud at 8pm (covid restrictions mean we can’t dance anyway) it was impossibly to carry on a conversation, and fortunately the staff helped us with this. However then we were right near the kitchen and could see that none of the kitchen staff were wearing masks at all. The food took about 40 mins to arrive and was tasty, the octopus was perfectly cooked. The bread, at $8, was definitely not worth it. The portions were fairly small - 4 dishes for 3 of us left us still looking for more. The caramelised pumpkin was nice but the middle of the pumpkin wasn’t cooked at all. When we finally managed to flag someone down, they took the uncooked piece away without letting us know what was happening and 10 mins later someone bought us a new dish, however we were ready to leave. Fortunately the pumpkin was taken off our bill. Overall, everything seemed unorganised, it was hard to get service. the food and gin was overpriced for what it was and there were limited covid safe practices going on. We won’t...

Today we had a horrible experience. We were told that a waitress named "Alta" would be looking after our table. We waited over 20 minutes for a menu and water that we had to keep asking for. When she took our order, she was extremely rude with an attitude. Everything took a while to come and our drinks were forgotten. We kept trying to get her attention and she kept looking at me and ignoring me for over 4 times whilst I was raising my hand up. Eventually I asked from another staff member for help - his name was Nicolo and he was brilliant! He brought our drinks straight away and apologised for the situation. He was very genuine and did his best to make our night smoother. However, even when we had finished our meals, we had previously asked for a dip and it came towards the end of all our dinner. I've been in hospitality for over 12 years and I understand how busy it can get but unfortunately some staff like this particular girl Alta, would benefit at a different work field as she is clearly not fit for hospitality and due to such poor quality service, we will not be coming back. Dining at a restaurant is not just about the dinner but the whole service and overall experience. Nicolo was brilliant though so we wish him best luck, he is fantastic at his job and...

So we went here last night for dinner, and let me start off by saying that the staff were amazing, and we could not have been looked after any better by such lovely waiters. Anyway, my partner looked at the menu, which was quite dirty with food stains and was not pleasant to look at. The menu is just one sheet of paper, and so should perhaps be laminated to wipe off future spills. I ordered Paella and my rice was almost raw. I love Paella, and will always order one if it’s on a menu, and this one would have to have been the worst I have ever had. It’s so disappointing that a chef would send out a dish, that even he would recognise was not fully cooked. My partner asked me why my rice looked so small, and I told him that the reason was because it was hardly cooked, so did not expand. This was a very disappointing experience. Wont be going back 🤷‍♀️ (In response to your reply, what happened was that the waiter served my partner his meal, and told us that the chef was not happy with the paella that he had made, so he was going to make up another one. He probably did not want to keep us waiting too long, so10 minutes later, I got my meal. You cannot cook rice in 10 minutes, so this is why the rice was...

Lovely, bright, light ambience despite the gloomy day outside on the day we had lunch. Staff were friendly and professional, seating us quickly, and patient while we waited for a missing friend. The drinks and gin menu is extensive, spoiling us for choice as we pondered over drinks. To share, we ordered a jug of sangria and a selection of tapas and mains. The sangria is a good size, but I found the strawberry flavour we chose too syrupy and sweet - but that’s me, my friend thought it was lovely. Of the orders - oysters, fried chicken, squid, octopus, ribs, burrata, crispy potatoes - the standouts were the fabulously fresh oysters with different toppings, and the gooey burrata served on roasted grapes. The balance of flavours of the oysters and the burrata was superb. The rest of the dishes could be improved. The potatoes were indeed crispy, but was a tad overdone. Presentation of the rest is beautiful but didn’t live up to taste expectations. Although perfectly grilled in appearance with the desired char markings, the pork ribs was bland to the point of tasteless, and the octopus was decidedly chewy. Overall, I’d say it is OK, but with lots of potential given the fabulous location in Glenelg.

Such a lovely dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken entree was so tender and juicy yet the coating still crisp with a tasty sauce. The entree ribs...WOW so good, the meat was melt in your mouth with amazing flavours. We both chose the chargrilled steak as our main meals and ordered them cooked differently. We both agreed that they were perfect to our individual liking. Our waitress was so very accommodating, and the atmosphere was great. Flamenco music playing loud enough to create the vibe but not so loud that you couldn't hear each other talk. Perfect volume to easily hear conversations. The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars for service is that we had a booking, but when we arrived, we were told to just sit anywhere and did wait a while for a waiter, he was very polite and lovely however unfamiliar with the promotion deal we had so then had to get a senior - who as previously mentioned was amazing. Overall, we are very glad we found this place, and we will return. Was a lovely place to have our anniversary dinner.

Wow! Junipers offers an extensive beverages menu! If you appreciate Gin, enjoy beer, like the cocktail or two, or love to pair wine with every dish, this is the place to be. Also spectacular views, set the scene what ever the season! We enjoyed a few tapas and a main on this occasion and it was delicious, didn’t leave enough room to try desserts. 🔅Oysters - ceviche and mignonette 🔅lamb roulade 🔅crispy cauliflower 🔅chicken wings in hot honey sauce 🔅chargrilled porterhouse steak ⚜️Pink Floyd ⚜️Dark night Mojito Each dish was a passport of flavours, a fusion fiesta from all corners of the world. For those who enjoy the outdoor dining areas, the heaters were out on this cooler autumn night, and it was perfect. The indoor ambiance was fit for gathering night, groovy night with hit tunes, but not overly pitched that we could enjoy our conversations throughout the night. The staff are attentive and friendly, they can also recommend some pairings. Highly recommend! A great overall experience.
