Huge, well groomed lawn great for picnics and lounging around if your preference is not laying on the sand. It's proximity to Glenelg beachfront (and all its "amenities") makes it the best of both worlds. I've never seen this place crowded, even in summer. Main downside is that at times where there's strong winds coming from the sea, this place has little defence from the (typically cold) breeze. Read moreParked my car it seems in the middle of two signs that say you have to pay to park. I walked straight out onto the reserve so didn't see them. Come back 15 minutes later to a ridiculous $55 dollar parking fine on a Sunday. What a disgusting council, paying to park on the side of a road on a Sunday is disgraceful. Even if there is payed parking it shouldn't apply on a Sunday afternoon. It's supposed to be a tourist area and they screw the tourists....
