Huge, well groomed lawn great for picnics and lounging around if your preference is not laying on the sand. It's proximity to Glenelg beachfront (and all its "amenities") makes it the best of both worlds. I've never seen this place crowded, even in summer. Main downside is that at times where there's strong winds coming from the sea, this place has little defence from the (typically cold) breeze. That said, if you're prepared for it, you can most definitely lounge around with several layers of warm clothing on.
