Gelatissimo Airlie Beach — Restaurant in Airlie Beach

We went here and like always gelato is amazing but I’m pretty sure I was overcharged for my ice cream as were a few of my friends in comparison to with a different person serving. When I asked for a small I was given the kids cup size (given it had ninja turtles on it and was incredibly small) and when I asked if the next largest up was the actual small (as it makes sense that there was a small regular and large cup sizes next to the kids up size ans graphic) i was told no that that is regular. But when my friend who ordered with a different person checked out they were charged for the actual small price in the same cup and i was charge for regular. I just felt like I needed to say something to make sure training was good and I wasn’t going crazy but like always I love the gelato and...

Sorry but I have a 2 complaints. Firstly the staff ...........they were too good. How dare they. The ice cream.......mehh ... friggin exceptional. Seriously the girls working there actually love their job and are hospitable. My wife and I have taken a week off from work to be in Airlie and we already came here 6 times and we are taking another one for the road on our way back to Melbourne. I really hope this place never loses their charm because it's so rare to put together a successful all rounder in this day and age. Thanks...

I just finished a lovely dinner at Sorrento, where the experience was ruined by an over affectionate newly wed couple, came down to my favourite Gelatissimo store, Only to find they are also here. As if the restaurant PDA wasn’t enough now they are sharing an ice cream together and showing more PDA, being on your honeymoon you would think they would have a room to get back to but it appears following me is theirs choice of entertainment .. gross! Highly recommend the hazelnut...
