EDIT: my previous review has been edited based on feedback from the venue. Thankyou for getting in touch and letting me know the quality of Garuma.
We stopped here on our first day to town. The service was fairly quick with plenty of seating.
Pros:
central seats with a street view plenty of variety on the menu
Cons: freshly squeezed orange juice was from a bottle and I was charged for it, whilst they have a freshly squeezed option and a bottled option separate. I believe that they might have got this confused so make sure you clarify specifically what you are after.
Recommendations:
Maybe the staff could be more friendly or Crack a smile from time to time. I do understand that this time of year is busy and the stress that goes with that but it is hospitality in a tourist town so that is to be expected.
All in all a good breakfast venue.

Read moreI ordered a take away but I had to run out to catch the tour bus! My order was not prepared because I ordered it and it didn't take 2 minutes and I had to leave! I came back another day because I had paid, but the manager who left me waiting to be attended said that it was not possible only on the day I paid and did not return my money! I found it extremely unnecessary! The day I returned I took my friends and I was waiting for my order after their order arrived only after that they said it would not be possible! Bad service and total lack of respect for the customer!!! I do not recommend it to anyone I was horrified! There are other cafes very close and much better and respectful in service! Even the cafe next to Magmuns the Village is less crowded and the service is...
Read moreThe melding of two cultures is raised to new dimensions in the coming together of France and Germany. Why France and Germany when the owners are Portuguese and German you ask?
When a German pretzel and a French croissant taste the same and neither of their origin you have a unique experience.
That said, the coffee was excellent, the service swift, the sausage and mustard tasty. The potato rosti was soggy but mostly edible.
Please visit, but if you're looking for a croissant or a pretzel, please expect the unexpected.
The view is lovely, if you're seated just right there are even ocean glimpses. It's right on the main drag, so you'll see the world walk by if you stay long enough.
