Would not recommend at all. The cafe was full which looks like a great place to go, we waited a little to be brought menus and were not told whether to order at the counter or if it were table service. Assuming table service. We then waited 15 to be served for coffee and then another 10 or so for the food order. Not told about a wait except there is a little. One hour later... (or as the female manager or staff member quoted- not an hour- 59 minutes) our food was finally on the way out. When it was placed in front of us, you could honestly consider our smashed avo as an entree sized sourdough piece of bread x 2 and maybe a table spoon of smashed avo, two small eggs and a little bit of relish- and one of our meals didnât come out with the rest, and bacon was missed from the other- by the time that came out, we had all finished our meals.... For $19 just for that plus a public holiday surcharge of 15% this was an absolute rip off. And a truely disappointing experience. The staff were not friendly and when we mentioned about the wait, it was all excuses and we are busy... you charge a public holiday surcharge which helps cover the cost of staff on the day, which Cleary has not been planned for, as well as lack of planning to service a full cafe. To top it all off, apart from lack of communication about the wait- the size of the meals and a $7 charge for gluten free bread- $7 and the bread was smaller than my palm (and I have small hands) , there wasnât even any sort of offer of a discount or free coffees or anything. Really poor management. We spent I am thinking about $140 on breakfast and we are leaving frustrated and still hungry. Very very very disappointing experience and would not recommend this place at all especially with the way the staff said ânew owners and the managementâ have implemented things that have not been received well. Big thumbs. And a...
Read moreWhen we arrived, the male waited was lovely and went to sit us at a table and a rude women came over and made us move to a smaller table in the corner blocking the breeze on a day where it is 34° Outside. Once we ordered, we waited around 30 mins for our food which is fairly standard for food however the drinks also took that long which was too long. 2/4 people at our table were happy with their meals however the anchovy sauce on the Caesar salad was overpowering and I was unable to eat anything but the chicken. The other meal that was underwhelming was the cheeseburger. The amount of grease that dripped out before even biting into the burger was off putting and the pickled onions were over powering. When the woman came to clear our table, she asked how our meals were. When she was given our feedback awkwardly, she was so rude about hearing that we werenât happy (although she did ask for our feedback) and when she asked us for specifics, my husband awkwardly but politely said that he didnât like the cheeseburger as he felt it didnât taste like a cheeseburger to him (referring to the pickled onions) and she started rudely saying the Pattieâs are made fresh on site everyday and maybe he was used to pre made stuff with no taste! I was so shocked at her rudeness, especially given the pattie was undercooked and he wasnât even referring to that, I had to walk away. After reading the reviews, Iâm disappointed to say the least. Certainly wonât be back and...
Read moreIf I could rate no stars I would! I never say anything bad about a business but honestly this was disgraceful and I need to share⌠Took my friends here during airlie beach music festival as I had been multiple times before and was excited to show them this gem⌠wow was I wrong. Waited over 30 min for our orders to be taken, we actually had to go up and ask for someone to come and take themâŚ. Over an hour and half for food which was shocking over cooked and poorly presented. When we lined up to pay none of the staff knew what the hell was going on. We were told we could only pay card and not cash. When I quietly told the woman serving us how disappointed I was with the whole breakfast experience she yelled at me infront of customers saying she was not sorry. Absolutely disgusted. Will never return and will be telling my local friends to steer clear. Whomever the women was that served us does not deserve a job in this industry because that is not how you speak to paying customer. Looks terrible for your business having her serving customers and speaking like that or should I say yelling. And yes I understand busy weekend with the festival but maybe next time up your game and make sure your hospitality team know what theyâre doing. Tip to maybe also hire a team that enjoy there job unlike the nasty piece of work we...
