The Old Boy Cafe — Restaurant in Applecross

Great little hidden gem, very cozy place that has recently been taken over by new management. They do a good selection of jaffles and they have some stella coffee.

The staff and especially the owner is great. They had a warm family style operation going on and are very friendly. If in the are make sure to stop by and check it out.

Great! Especially the carrot cake cupcakes (tbh they are the best in Perth!) and the coffee is superb! The only qualm I have is, that they might need to brush up on their customer service skills? I don't know if its because the cafe is 'dark' or if its because i am there in the early moring, but some of the staff seem really flat and monotonous and its a bit...

Navigated here for a decent coffee given the high praise on google reviews. Really disappointed. First the less than inviting welcome and then the lukewarm, soy coffee. Not sure what brand milk was used but it didn’t taste like a 5 star coffee to me. Hopefully if I come back for a jaffle (the menu looks 👌) I’ll be game to try the coffee again and...
