Originally we loved the burgers here but sadly the food is really inconsistent. The chips portions range from generous at 2-4 servings, to pretty stingy at a single serving at best. Often the chips are way too salty. The first few times we ordered it wasn't very busy and the food was amazing, the burgers were cooked perfectly and crispy patties, chips were generous and not too salty - 5 star. But the last few times it has been really busy in the restaurant and there have been significant issues. My burger patties were pink in the middle and not crispy on the edges, they tasted bland and soggy. Also, they missed the mustard altogether and the buns weren't as soft, maybe slightly stale? If this was my first time, I wouldn't go back. The time before that they got our order wrong completely - this isn't really a big deal as it happens, but worth mentioning. Also when I asked for extra pickles the guy serving me looked at the computer for ages, then didn't say anything further. I wasn't given any extra pickles. Read moreEmployee finished shift waiting to get picked up by his mother intentionally blocked last parking bay by chatting with his mates in the middle of it. Waited a few minutes for them to notice and honked horn.
Proceeds to move very slowly and then stand on the curb facing me to make my parking more difficult.
I ask what his issue was when i got out, after some back and forth he asks if im eating at hoodburger and said he works there, says I better watch my meal.
I go inside to order and ask to speak with supervisor, employee went into the kitchen so I would see him, he had already finished working.
Ask supervisor about how he just said he would mess with my food and now walked into the kitchen, he did not care and said the guys finished working we wont mess with your food, supervisor then tells me if I want to order or not whilst the employee still out the back
Frankly disgusting behaviour and poor supervision, they obviously dont care if employees make threats about messing with peoples food, shows the color of culture and quality...
Read moreOk sitting here watching them work. In 7 minutes they have produced 1 meal between about 4 of them. It might take 20 minutes before we get our take out at this point at least. The only person who knows what they are doing is the young lady on the till taking orders. Several of the staff appear to be wondering around doing very little. They mostly seem stressed. Not many smiles! Perhaps it’s early in the day for them before they hit their stride.
Hoping the food is good.... 😑
Update: Burgers are delicious, although no tomato on the supreme burger as advertised so quality control may be a concern, hopefully they figure out the operations and the training.
Update: Burgers still good. Not sure about the pick up fee. Extra just to order for pick up in advance. The service is slow so I want to order and I don’t have to wait but now I have to pay extra for that privilege. Seems odd. It’s a small amount but perhaps I go grill’d up the street.
