Armadale Park Café — Restaurant in Armadale

Hello all. So below this update you will see my original review from last year. Now, I know it's difficult to get good help that are concerned about customer service. And apparently that has happened here. Sadly we went here this morning for a family breakfast on my birthday. It was a bit busy as normal and I went up and ordered coffee and drinks and muffins and said I would come back up later and order our food. I paid and sat for a few minutes and then went back up and placed another order for our food items. When doing so, I was very clear in requesting that our coffee and drinks be brought first and not at the same time as our food order. She acknowledged this and I went back to the table. A few minutes later the food arrived but the coffee and drinks had still no been brought. I went up and asked and was told "Oh well the kitchen is just faster than the barista". Then after another 15 minutes, the coffee and drinks finally show up. My daughter had ordered a Green Apple juice. She drank some and said it didn't taste right and sure enough it was another drink they make that has as one of it's ingredients, green apples. My wife went to the counter and they said they thought that's what I wanted. How can "Green Apple juice" be confused with anything but that? They then made the correct drink and never apologised or offered to refund the difference in price we were charged for the more expensive one. Armadale Park Cafe, is such a nice place with really great food and coffees, but they seriously need to assess their attitudes toward customer service.

WOW!!! Awesome place. Really, really great Coffee. I drink long black so you cannot hide bad coffee with milk etc. One of the best coffees I've had in a long time. Their Tea is from loose tea on a strainer pot. Very good too. The outside seating by the park is wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Me and my friend with three kids visited this cafe yesterday, It was hot and we expected obviously an aircon running, But neither of the staff informed about the malfunction or anything else, We sat down and realised it was muggy. With three kids it was hard to move and get around that time of the day. When I mentioned it to the lady at the counter and to my shock she said" Can you see my sweat, I am working here from 6 hours but you are here only for an hour or half,and also suggested people should stay home in this heat under their aircon". Well I did my order and sat down, My friend who took me there was quite devasted with the quality of food as well, We are never going to risk our special day lunches at this place, and will never ever go back again, Although we are local of the area and want to support local business but if this is quality we are going to get, unfortunately everyone should think twice before...

Great little hidden gem on the outside of the Armadale shops. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, especially as we declined any salt or pepper when offered. The food stood up on its own flavours. Best Hollandaise sauce I've had in a long time. Highly recommend. Delicious iced mochas and the service was lovely, and quick.

The next table over even had a screaming child, and one of the staff was clearly doing her best with the parents to calm him down for the sanity of the other patrons.

Edit: We just ordered from them on Uber Eats (about 1 week after original review) and even though it wasnt on the extras list, we requested and they gave us extra hollandaise! You guys are the best and definitely have repeat customers here! Wpuld give 6/5 if...
