Soooo, I’ve been to this place multiple times in the past and I haven’t had much problems with it since the old staff were really welcoming and chill. Except… now, it’s like they hired the worse people.

One of us ordered a jug of Coke but somehow it turned into a Coke by this alcohol brand? (thanks, miscommunication). My eighteen year old brother (who is of legal drinking age) took a sip, and when a staff member politely asked for ID, we handed the drink to my cousin who has ID on him. No fuss, right?

…But apparently, that wasn’t dramatic enough for the next waitress…

She stormed over yelled “GUYS!” across the restaurant MIND YOU, we were sitting outside, it was busy, so practically she was trying to humiliate us, then folded her arms like we were children, and began ranting about how she works two jobs to feed her kids and how ‘she knew what we did’ erm you don’t… CAUSE we explained ourselves the first time. Womannnn I came here for fries not a full on lecture... She kept yelling about the $20,000 fine even though we literally cooperated the second they asked

If yelling at customers in public is their go to conflict resolution style I suggest they change careers… maybe theatre? Because you could’ve gone about that situation way differently than SCREAMING and bringing up your struggles, you’re attempting to burden the customer and make it feel like it’s their fault. No lady… you don’t do that

Ok food (could 100% be better, since some of it taste air fried) but not worth the trauma dump and public scolding. Bring ID, apparently a priest and maybe a lawyer…...

Went there for a birthday celebration on my nephew on saturday night. Food was average. Chicken parmi x2 ordered around the table, both diners commented that the chicken was dry. I ordered mushroom and haloumi burger which was also average. Their chips though were tasty. Few errors with our orders which had been sorted. Apart from this, there were 3 waitresses serving us and 1 of them was abosulety shockingly rude (short older lady with boycut hairstyle). Everytime she came to our table, she was scowling and not much communication at all, just staring. When she was clearing the dish and i wanted to take home the leftover pizza, before i said something she already put the dirty plate on it then just shrugged and smirked at me? Her reaction was quite rude. It was not only me who saw her reaction but, also the rest of the table which reckoned the same thought as me. Moreover, my brother in law spoke to the manager and the manager said that he will come to our table soon to address the complaints, yet he never came. He just kept looking/glancing at our table until we just left as we were finished. We waited for him but, seemed did not mind at all. We initially thought the service and food were good as they were packed that night. However, it was completely the opposite. Will never go back there again. It is a memorable...

Went for lunch at around 1pm, it wasn't particularly busy however it took a minute or 2 of waiting before we were acknowledged by a staff member and seated. We were told we would be getting water, but did not...the waitress was busy resetting a table when no one was waiting to be seated and there were plenty of empty set tables.

After about 10 minutes we weren't having our order taken so we went up to the bar to order...and asked for water again. No water came. I turned and looked at the bar to see if any was there to go and get myself and the waitress who was older with the short hair came and asked if we had our order taken and we said we had ordered, we were just waiting for water. Instead of getting any she went and cleared a table.

Eventually got water just before our drinks came, we ordered wedges, it was a huge bowl with very shallow small dishes of sauces accompanying it. The deep fried items in the mate's plate were quite oily and the spring rolls tasted like the cheap ones you order in bulk from spudshed.

No one came to check how the meals were going after we received them. Overall customer service was pretty bad (from someone who has worked in hospitality jobs over 10 years). Won't...

Went there on Boxing Day and glad to find it was open for business. Food there has been consistently good each time I've visited. Portion size is generous, so you get what you pay for. However, if you're a small eater, you may consider sharing food with a companion. Its not exactly cheap if you are dining alone, considering there is a nearby food court. But like i said, the Berrelhouse food is consistently good. I rarely see a crowd in this restaurant so its easy to get a table for 2 or 3 people. Perhaps the staff could be a little friendlier and communcative because i was told the waiter would come to take my order, but she took so long that i had to go to the bar to order. Overall, i had no complaints about the restaurant food service. The food came out within a reasonable time, and we enjoyed what we ordered. Generally, a goto place for the very hungry. It was nice and cool there inside the restaurant despite the summer hot weather outside. Just the one pesky black fly that wouldnt go away while we were eating, which was annoying us.

A really great place to visit with family and friends. This place offers a huge menu to suit every taste. Lots of meat, vegetarian and seafood options. Our table tried everything from beef ragu, ribs, wings, garlic prawns and Thai squid salad. 🐙 The Thai squid salad was a very generous serve, the garlic prawns were amazing. Will definitely order these again. Everybody thought the mains were delicious. Presented well and quickly even though the restaurant was busy. Our only quibble was the garlic bread. $9 for 2 slices was not worth it. We all love garlic bread so had to cut the slices into quarters. Would have just enjoyed a slice or two more. But we can't fault the other food or the lovely, friendly service. Will visit again. 👌

So many people these days are learning to cook, thanks to the power of social media (and YouTube). I hope the cooks catch on to this trend. Buffalo Wings and a Philly Cheesesteak. I ended up with chicken wings that tasted like they were marinated in that weird dried ‘Italian seasoning’ and meat in a roll, with cheese. Two very classic dishes that tasted nothing as they should. I mean, maybe just google a Philly Cheesesteak and Buffallo sauce recipe? With that said, the staff FOH are chill, beer is cold, the outdoor seating overlooking Memorial Park is a bonus. Overall atmosphere is laidback and comfortable. Will return for the occasional beer, maybe some hot chips..
